5.07- 5.24; one of the greatest drum breaks in music history! Vinnie got better and better over the next 30 years in many ways, but he was at his most free and creative in the late 70s and the 80s.

IMO, "Orion, Horizons and Random Harvest" are 3 of the strongest songs in a row on any rock album. AND, you really need to listen to, and feel them on a good stereo that can reproduce bass down to 30 HZ or lower, as the bass notes just growl and shake you in these songs.

2.32; one the greatest drum breaks in music history. Vinnie went on to do many great records, and he is one of the few musicians who kept getting better as he got older (although he's gone a little strange in the last 10 years), but the 80s was my favourite period of his. He had such fire and originality; a truly extraordinary musician.

I know what you mean, but 90s Vinnie was even more savage !!! Like from 89 ("Secrets", "Buddy Rich Memorial", and so on...)

Damn... I freaking love Martin Deller's playing. The production is spectacular. Larry Fast assisted on synth "programming". And that god damn reverb at 3:50 !!!! I managed to meet and see them live at NearFest about 100 years ago. Thank you Cameron and Martin.

Put up all the NASABS Pics you want -- they will never match this music nor will they ever truly be worthy of showing up on such an awesome song's video. NASA is as fake as a there dollar bill on top of a few excellent things they can accomplish. I have said enough. Dream On.

So sad that a band like this goes largely unrecognised. Modern life it stinks. If you’re out there guys thank you for the music. Your effect people just as much as the bands of old it’s just that your reach isn’t as wide as it would be in the past. But your album Humble Colossus has been a mainstay on my CD player for many, many years.

Used to see the original FM lineup in the mid 80s for the price of a beer in the Welland House in St Catharines. Great club -- you couldn't smoke weed, but the owners had no issue with smoking spliffs as long as we didn't flaunt.

If you listen to the melody and rhythm guitar, you can clearly hear that this tune was intended as a shuffle/ternary vibe kinda thing. But our boy Vinnie, heard and applied a rather angular, binary feel and boldly recorded a friggin 7-minute-long polyrhythm!! See? That’s clever music, not complicated for the sake of being complicated. This is why we love you, Vinnie. Genius.
