Great video! I still can't figure out how to work the cheb rig - I've taken to using a 1.8g free rig with sandworms and get bit fairly often. The cheb however doing the same hops and drags on the bottom- not so much

Nice session. Couple of questions if you wouldn't mind. What is the reel you were using? The handle looks unique. Also what is the long handle net?

@@martinpearce4604 thanks! The reel is a Shimano Soare BB C2000SSPG, I've got 3 of them as I'm a big fan 😅 the handle is a Daiwa iso 5.9m Rock Fishing net handle, one of the best bits of kit I've bought!

Happy New Year, it's been great being a part of and seeing this community grow 🙂 I'm always reluctant to recommend overloading a rod but chucking 5g doesn't feel like too much, although I do try to ensure I "flick" the lure out rather than blast it out there 😅

I was thinking the same thing. I seen something similar the other day. Similar colouring as well. I think it’s made by Daiwa… my old man has a similar one and it folds down really neatly… i’ve got the rapala jetty one but I think this one is longer still if it’s the same one I’ve seen. I think it was about £90 ish but I could be wrong 😧😁

Thank you! Yes I really like the Fuego for my wrasse fishing, good solid reel with a nice drag. It's taken lots of punishment but is still working well, it's mag sealed too so it has good protection from salt water 🙂

@@paulgreenwood625 we were using rods rated between 3 and 7g here, dropshot, split shot, cheb and jigheads with small soft plastics and scented lures. Lots of friendly members over on our Big Lerf group on Facebook that can give much more detailed and specific information 🙂
