Not one dull fish in that lot. Our shores have some great ones but sometimes they do look plain in comparison to other shores. Great video.

Very nice. I've found the same fishing in Greece, worm style lure like the 97T triple J and isome pretty much guaranteed a bite. Couldn't get anything on metals or shads apart from 1 very angry Amberjack 😂. I actually stayed at Pathos (southern end) just before covid. I wasn't fishing again then only started after lock down. Might be there next year though so definitely taking a rod!

Cheers Stuart. Yeah it was as difficult as I feared when using metals and hard lures, but a complete game changer when I admitted defeat and stuck a bit of gulp on, then began to pick stuff up on soft plastics once I'd got a bit of confidence. Was desperate to catch something on a bit of metal though 😅 hope you have some good fishing when you head to Cyprus! 🤞🎣

@@DevonLerfer I will give it a try. I saw that a couple of times they took your bait. Locals use elastic thread to fix the bait on the hook. It helps a lot.

Great video mate really enjoyed it, just incase you go back to Cyprus again I know a really good spot for Ornate Wrasse! 😉🤣😂 The Med might be void of most of the bigger species now but it's got loads of stunning mini's, you should try for the next family holiday in Northern Norway the LRF is a bit special up there with the chance of a big Halibut on the LRF gear! Lol 😂🤣🎣👍

Devon, I see your lead weighs a lot. How do you manage to keep it safe from getting stuck between the rocks? The magic is in the way you move your rod? You do not let it go down to the bottom?

Despite what you see, I do lose some tackle but I think the key is to fish as light as possible and remain in contact so you can feel where your weight is a work it accordingly. There are days when this doesn't go so well though 😅

I'd recommend fishing Paphos harbour around the boulders and things there. Small hooks and in close, you can't fail to at least catch ornate wrasse there 🤞🎣

Next time please take a glove or a piece of cloth with you. Some of them are poisonos and can give you much pain.

Yeah I was really careful with the Madeira rockfish and others that I knew were venemous. There was one which I didn't realise and got lucky with but I will know for next time 😅
