I had one of these 8 years ago and the diffuser wasn't working and the gas built up in the tube putting the gauge to 700psi and the tube exploded sent shockwave so hard knocked my ornaments off the side of tank stand and left a giant hole in the tubing it terrified me just took my hands out the tank never used pressurised co2 ever since

Hi I want to get a Murray cod and I need to no a good pump / filter any tips ?
@ShepsAquatics2 жыл бұрын
To be honest with simply size the pumps and filters to the size of the tank. But a nutty cod can grow to over a meter long so you will need a very big tank and filters.

Does the filter make it cleaner or cold or warm

@@ShepsAquatics This is my first attempt at a planted tank and has been up and running for about 6 months. I do have several stem plants, anubias, fern and S. Repens. @@deletethemedia3445 I'm going say its just in shock as if the others are going well it should be fine as well. my best guess is it was grow out of water in a hydroponics system and now its converting to life under water witch will cause the leaves to die back then grow new leaves that are suited for under water. i hope that helps

I have a mini pond and I am thinking of adding some rosy barbs. Do you think they will breed by themselves? Or do I have to remove them from the pond. It have lots of plants so they fry can hide. Any suggestions?
@ShepsAquatics2 жыл бұрын
If there are lots of places for the fry to hide they should be fine same as if there were in the wild. Just make Sure the water temp is between 18 to 26 Celsius. But for best results I’d say leave the adults in there for 10 days then remove them.

Haven’t filled the tank up yet but am 3 weeks into the dry start method of trying to grow Monte Carlo as a carpet plant but also intend on adding a few more plants in there in future such as reds. How many drops per second and how long would a canister last for? Any effect on the shrimp?
@ShepsAquatics2 жыл бұрын
The amount of drops really depends on how well the co2 is getting depersed into the water and how many plants you have. To much co2 with change ph level so just check before you add dhrimp

Great video - easily the best for Rosy Barbs breeding. We have established the same breeding tank setup as you - the barbs we’re in a communal tank prior. Do you really need to keep them in adjoining tanks for a week if the female looks ready to pop. I’m worried she’ll reabsorb the eggs.
@ShepsAquatics3 жыл бұрын
No you don’t have to keep them separate at all. The reason I had them Separate was to show the difference between male and female in the video. They lay very morning so she won’t reabsorb the eggs. She will lay them. And make more each day.

Hi. I’m sorry to here that. Firstly how big is ur tank and how well planted is it. But a good rule is 8-10 hrs a day for the light been on. But you can dim the light intensity by using the on off button if you hold ur finger over the button one side will brighten and the other will dim.
