Nice video. Do you recommend using it for a Aquael 30L crystal shrimp setup? Haven’t filled the tank up yet but am 3 weeks into the dry start method of trying to grow Monte Carlo as a carpet plant but also intend on adding a few more plants in there in future such as reds. How many drops per second and how long would a canister last for? Any effect on the shrimp?

The amount of drops really depends on how well the co2 is getting depersed into the water and how many plants you have. To much co2 with change ph level so just check before you add dhrimp

AQUAGUY UK Yar I’ve never really used co2 I use it when I start a new tank of add new plants to encourage fast growth at the start so they put down roots and become established faster

@@ShepsAquatics Indeed I have used peat balls in an active substrate like fluval stratum this really feeds the plants well and something called tnc lite for leaf feeders

I had one of these 8 years ago and the diffuser wasn't working and the gas built up in the tube putting the gauge to 700psi and the tube exploded sent shockwave so hard knocked my ornaments off the side of tank stand and left a giant hole in the tubing it terrified me just took my hands out the tank never used pressurised co2 ever since

That’s very unfortunate. Iv found I had to clean the diffuser out all the time so I invested in a better one

It depends on how much you use and the size of the tank you are useing it on. I used on a nano tank 1 drop every sec and it lasted 3-4 months

@@levi.k4017 yes the plants will grow faster and healthier with extra carbon in the water but the more the plants grow you may find you might have to increase the co2 a little bit.

@@ShepsAquatics just need COVID to leave go out in the bay with the game rod put a massive bait on it and make a shark fishing video. my dad and I have a bet because I want to go spearfishing in the bay and he says there will be a big shark hanging around I said if no giant fish show up on the sounder there ain't so next time we go out in the boat we are gonna see whos correct but he's not allowed to use berley in the water
