Very heartwarming video, nice to hear Janne's kicking ass and taking names. Such a legendary band, that helped shape who I am as a person and my musical taste and the music I make in my own band. Much love to the bandmates: Janne, Jaska, Henkka, Daniel, Roope, Alexander, and Alexi. RIP to Alexi and thanks for sharing this video. Will subscribe to the channel :) PS. Näitä sun tekemiä haastatteluja kuuntelis mieluusti lisääkin. Tollanen pyyteetön tekemisen ilo heijastuu hauskasti ruudun toiselle puolen. Bodom-stoori: ala-asteen levyraatiin tuotiin ainoastaan kaks levyä: mä toin tuoreen bodomin tokio-liven, joku jonkun sellasen ajankohtasen radio-renkutus-biisin. Soitettiin sitten molemmat kolme biisiä levyiltämme kun oli vaan kaks tuotu, bodom voitti top-3 paikat, lakebodom toki ekana.

Im sure you both are crazy busy, but I would love to have more of Petri. Listening to you both reminiscing about Alexi was so heartwarming. And hearing Petri say that even he has a difficult time playing Alexi's leads and vocals is crazy. I've watched live Warmen videos. Petri if you ever read this; you are doing splendidly!

Piuhan käärimisestä hauska muisto: opiskelin aikoinaan AV-alaa eräässä Kymeenlaakson alueella sijaitsevassa ammattikorkeakoulussa (samassa paikassa opiskellut mm. Antti Hyyrynen). Koulun vekkuli varastonhoitaja opetti meille samankaltaisen kelomistavan ja laittoi kelomaan uudestaan, jos oli tehty väärin 😄

i have to say from the deepest of my heart THANK YOU for that. i picked up the guitar because of Alexi & CoB music, started to love Keyboards in heavy music beacause of Janne, & seeing this makes me realise it's also that punk & fun attitude that i loved. & also a huge thanks for Anssi who played a huge part in the reccording of those masterpieces that are still my favorites albums now.

Norther and Bodom consumed my college days back in 2005. I was such a walking billboard for those two bands, it was almost shameful. Amazing to hear a lot of these stories. I always wondered what life was like for these dudes. Great interview!!!

Thank you, Anssi, for this content. I'm from Brazil and had the opportunity to watch COB in São Paulo (Follow the Reaper tour) with my friends. Regarding the video series, it was really nice to watch these memories and stories from that golden era of COB and about the friendship you all still carry after so many years. Even though I don't speak a word of Finnish, the KZbin translator worked very well! Anana! 🍍 Kyllä! Thanks again!

Thank you very much for the comment. 🙏 Cool to hear you were at the COB show in São Paulo in 2001. If I recall right it was quite hot at the venue. Was it there when Alexi's amp broke down during the show and I went on stage to fix the situation? As most of the stories are very difficult translate, I put in the effort to make the English translation as accurate as possible. Hopefully KZbin uses that instead of translating from the Finnish dialog. 😅 Have a great week & all the very best! ⭐️

Olin viittä vaille täysi-ikäinen silloin, ja näin Jens Johanssonin ja Timo Tolkin Pakkahuoneen bäkkärin ovella ja ensimmäinen tarjos huikan sen kossupullosta. Timo tais isällisesti siihen todeta Jenssille jotain, että "don't give it to him, he's still a child" tjtn. @@Astiastudio Absolutely, he seems like a very nice person to converse with! I only got into COB around the time Are You Dead Yet was released, but the first 4 albums always were my favourites. Watching these videos made me go through them all again and listen with newfound appreciation.

I understand. Unfortunately I only did a few studio sessions with Roope and cannot recall doing any live shows together. As this video series is about those who have been a big part of Astia-studio's career during the past 30 years, Roope does not qualify for that. He's a cool dude and an awesome guitarist, but we would not have enough mutual incidents to talk about. Thanks for understanding & all the very best! ⭐️

It's been over 16 years since I met Norther, and it is still my favourite band. I remember as it was yesterday, my friend had shown me the Mirror of madness videoclip, I had thought it was too extreme but then I listened to the solo and I was amazed. The day after I was learning to play it and after a few time I could play the entire album. The solo from Mirror of Madness is still my favourite of all time, I hope one day I can have a gear that can sound as close to the tone they used for mirror of madness and death unlimited solo guitars. Nowadays many bands sell tabs, I'd definitely buy Norther tabs if they release them. As for the band, I was really sad when Petri "left" and when the band broke up. But I understand how things work now, maybe a reunion in the future? Who knows. The stories Petri told are really funny, it is really nice to know a little about the background during all that years.😂 Subbed to the channel, hugs from Brazil.

Thank you very much. 🙏 It was very cool to produce and guide the Norther guys at a very early stage in their career. Cannot recall what gear we used, but for solos it was a very excited guitarist, a distortion pedal to a tube amp (or most likely a separate tube preamp and tube power amp) to a 4x12" cabinet and one mic in front of it. 🤔
