...so per the cops exact "logic" what's your name...so you can write up a report...and detail who's right we violated.... *yea.....nah cop is trying to appeal to this mans.... accountability side and was hoping those sweet words would entice him to ID* I have seen several other examples where the person recording, complies...and then the "consequences" were not as grand as they claimed it to be. Hell in several cases the cops did not even generate a report because their logic was as if I don't have your ID because of *my departments policy* then I can't make a report and since I don't have your name I am physically unable to start it until I have your name...I can do you that *favor* if you follow my Departments policy which is "law" They act as if your ID is a business transaction where you can't get service until you hand over ID...

It’s wasn’t for no reason. Some little old lady probably called him in because she didn’t know he lived there. But once he says he’s on his own property the police have to leave and look up the deed or rental agreement. This is why law enforcement as with any other professionals need to carry liability insurance. Your tax return person, doctor, contractor, Uber driver and you yourself have liability insurance. Do not celebrate a lawsuit against a municipality because it’s the people in that community who ultimately pay for your lawsuit. It’s like crapping in your own yard. Proactively demand that all law enforcement in your community carry liability insurance. I guarantee you they’ll be much more professional when it means a raise in their insurance policy premiums! Additionally, all the good and great cops will celebrate the removal of the bad ones.
