Hey! Are you still using Luna with the Neve Summon in 2025 or are you back to ProTools ?

The 03's are my 2nd set of Barefoots. I have MM45's at work and the 03's are for my home rig. I got mine after the hiss issue was resolved. But knew all about it going in. I really appreciate how up front Barefoot was about the whole thing. They replaced speakers from that first batch without question. Just a first rate company that truly respects their customers. And the 03 are little beasts! I can go back and forth working on them and my 45's seamlessly.

These problems are evidence of the inferior quality of the internal components, otherwise there wouldn't be such a Hiss problem

My mm27 voltage regulator died and in turn blew the tweeter a month after the warranty ended they didn't gaf. $500 fix..A. year and a half later the 2nd one had the exact same thing happen... now I'm gonna have to repair this one.. Fantastic boxes but honestly for a 10k setup.. Hard pass. I'll keep them but it's time to get something different. Quality has failed on this end..

I thought monitors should be at ear level, because the HFs are so directional. Your speakers look too low. (?) I was thinking if I got the FP03's, I'd need taller stands since they sit horizontally.

What was your serial number around these that have a hiss problem? It was kinda hiss with electrical noise? That you have now, it's without hiss totally and what around serial is? I have same problem here, just buy them and thinking to return. Thanks!

How would you calibrate them using sonarworks Ref ID if they have 3 different MEME settings on it.? And do you think, you would have to calibrate the room for each MEME option.

Mine didn't have the hiss but I seen videos where others talked about it. I'm glad because I hate sending stuff back. I had to send my Dangerous 2 Bus+ back. I blew a chip in it. it's fixed now and will be going on Reverb.

Heyyy man, would love to see some kind of a after 6 months of using Barefoots or something like that! Currently considering the Focal Alpha Twin Evo + Focal Sub One vs Barefoot Footprints 03. I produce a bass-heavy music so this was a bit helpful! What would you recommend?

With the port towards the wall like that i'm not sure you get the right sound. More those windows in your front. Nice view for sure. All my monitors of my choice have the port in front. I'm very curious about these speakers since they have 3 positions from where sound is coming from, as well the company reputation & attractive price. As trained mastering engineer i say that getting to know your speakers for more than 6 months by listening on them will improve the decisions you make regardless the speakers brand as long they are decent.

Hello Your speakers are too low for optimal listening, you may have phase problems. The MEME technology is just equalizations, which you can get in plugins or for example by using ARC Studio which processes your room and allows you to simulate about twenty different speakers, it works very well! The disadvantage of these FP3s is that they can't do mastering, so you would have to add a sub to them to go below 30Hz. You have to treat your room my friend. You can clearly hear when you are talking there is a lot of reverb in your room. No speaker kan fix this. Room first then speaker. ✌️

Hey man your video is beautiful and your room is stylish but you need acoustic panels! Especially with that window behind the computer. It'll make much more of a change than any monitor switch 😊

I am listening from my phone but I can clearly hear the difference in terms of particles and details in hig frequencies. Analog hardware is better in my opinion.

how bout a update on the monitors and maybe a sample mix? also quick question do you know if its possible to add a subwoofer to the monitors is there a way to cancel certain frequencies ?

I got the exact focal aplha twin evo's....But Im thinking of upgrading to the barefoot 03's...Anything I should know?

when comparing in solo like this, the hardware definitely has the edge and that extra 5%. but with a little massaging and help you can close that gap even further with the plugin. and in a mix you would be hard pressed to hear the difference.
