BAREFOOT FOOTPRINT 03 UPDATE | HISS??? | MY THOUGHTS

The 03's are my 2nd set of Barefoots. I have MM45's at work and the 03's are for my home rig. I got mine after the hiss issue was resolved. But knew all about it going in. I really appreciate how up front Barefoot was about the whole thing. They replaced speakers from that first batch without question. Just a first rate company that truly respects their customers. And the 03 are little beasts! I can go back and forth working on them and my 45's seamlessly.

+1 to know more about the serial number range affected by the hiss issue. 🤔

What was your serial number around these that have a hiss problem? It was kinda hiss with electrical noise? That you have now, it's without hiss totally and what around serial is? I have same problem here, just buy them and thinking to return. Thanks!

My mm27 voltage regulator died and in turn blew the tweeter a month after the warranty ended they didn't gaf. $500 fix..A. year and a half later the 2nd one had the exact same thing happen... now I'm gonna have to repair this one.. Fantastic boxes but honestly for a 10k setup.. Hard pass. I'll keep them but it's time to get something different. Quality has failed on this end..

I thought monitors should be at ear level, because the HFs are so directional. Your speakers look too low. (?) I was thinking if I got the FP03's, I'd need taller stands since they sit horizontally.

These problems are evidence of the inferior quality of the internal components, otherwise there wouldn't be such a Hiss problem

Barefoot will fix them for free. Sent my pair in about a year ago.
