A real shame her 1960s career never took off or found that one vehicle. She was a sweet woman, but in show biz was hard to package or handle... her style was so very explosive.

During the filming of the 1951 movie " Annie Get Your Gun ", lead star Judy Garland was fired because of disagreements with the film producer and director. Betty Hutton stepped up and became the lead star ⭐ !

Someone once said that Bob hope should entertain in the USA and bring all the troops to visit him. In other words we want our fighting g men back here! Also that when asked where he wanted to be buried he says surprise me.

The sad thing this reunion didn’t last. She and her daughters became estranged again and her daughters never attended her mother’s funeral. It’s sad when this happens.

I believe this was the song she sang in Panama Hattie on broadway in 1942. For some reason Ethel Merman pulled the song from the show and Betty was upset. It was recieved very well with the audience and it was pulled after numerous performances. Betty eventually left the show and with help from B.G DeSylva went to Hollywood and got a contract with Paramount studios. She eventually became their top female star for the next 10 years.

Hello ! I'm french and I think I don't understand what does she mean by saying "doll"... I don't think its about a "toy", but all the french translations translate it that way. Someone ?
@plantainsame2049
@plantainsame2049 Ай бұрын
A doll is a toy But it was at the time A term of endearment for a kind or generous person It's the contrast because The man she's singing about is a demon and a devil but he's also a doll Or later when she calls him a darling a dreamboat and a dog

Girls! Girls! Watch out! Watch out! There's a two legged animal running about If it smokes a great big cigar and it hangs around at a bar if it tells the biggest lies, wears the loudest ties it's a man If it acts just like a crossed patch Has a face with whiskers that scratch If it's stubborn as can be, mean and ornery It's a man It if walks, if it talks If its habits are a little bit peculiar If it brags and tries to make you think it's wonderful Be on the lookout, don't let it fool ya But if it makes the moon up on high, more than just a light in the sky If it kisses you and you find you like it too GRAB IT! It's a man If it whistles each time you pass, Owns a car that runs out of gas, Then it's time you get hip, better watch your step It's a man If it acts just like it's the boss when it knows that you are, of course If it gets a little rough, thinks it's very tough It's a man It if walks, if it talks If its habits are a little bit peculiar If it brags and tries to make you think it's wonderful Be on the lookout, don't let it fool ya But if it's kneelin' down on one knee Sayin' darling please marry me Then don't hesitate, better name the date and then GRAB IT! HOLD IT! HANG ONTO IT! For It's a man
