Very good review. I had a DC-550 but its screen quality was worse than the screen on my S5II. It's about the shadows, a very small tonal range. How does the screen quality of the DC-550 compare to the DCX2? Of course, apart from maximum brightness.

I am using luts on them so they look pretty good to me, I am no perfectionist and have not done a side by side test. He is like the first guy on KZbin or the on the internet with a review, who’s not just talking about how nice the camera feels and looks, but he is actually sharing some of his work. A lot of leica people (on social media or internet), who are overtly praising this camera, you never get to see their work. I probably know why. Hi Hunter! Great video. I currently shoot with the Canon R5 and have been looking at changing to the Fuji GFX 100s ii. How is manual focusing? With my R5 it's not too bad with Focus Peaking. Can you zoom in and use focus peaking at the same time on the GFX?
@hunterhart117 күн бұрын
@@matthewpaul01 I have not shot GFX 100ii, my settings were always: focus peaking + a separate fn button to pop in for zoom. I didn’t use both simultaneously, I believe you can. I just never did it. ZF camera body isn't crippled, as this video suggests. It's the retro-styled 40/2 and 28/2.8 lenses which have no aperture ring. So in that case, if you want an aperture ring, then the lens is crippled, not the camera body. I have plenty of vintage manual focus lenses with aperture rings. I have pair of ZF bodies, and these are my favorite camera bodies to date. They're not crippled like the old Nikon DF (Crappy D600 AF module and 1/4000s SS), while being priced $700 less than said DF. For the grip gripe; I support the camera from the bottom plate (or lens if it's larger) in my left hand, not with the grip. I've been doing it this way since my old Pentax K1000 days.

Do you use an ND filter on the typoch? Some of the photos looks like wide open aperture in daylight. I imagine you’d get clipped highlights since minimum ISO ≈ 160 ?
@hunterhart119 күн бұрын
No I don’t, would be hard to do with a M camera unless you were only shooting on the back of the screen. Which could be possible for some I reckon!
@lassekruselarsen698219 күн бұрын
But still it meters through the lens doesn’t it? ND filter is just to avoid overexposing (like if I want to shoot f/1.4 in full sun). I thought the photo at the beach was shot at a large aperture and I imagined it would clip. But good to know actually, it means I don’t need to worry about ND filters!
