I had no idea you could buy light pipes like that. I've always just gone to a local hobby shop and purchased Plexiglas sheets, and not I just use printer filament. This is cool, great job!

I bet you were completely focused while building this because it’s so engaging and fun. In a way, you’re probably creating this device to help with all the other tasks that don’t give you that same feeling.

Suggestions: Fix the stability issue with "bracket" parts that have nothing inside and just exist to act as a stable building block Also, try making "repeater" blocks that have nothing inside and just pass on the signal This project is awesome and I want one (but I am too lazy to make one)

Great video!! Have you considered revising this?

So cute, love it! The only thing missing is the curved effect on the screen, but that is probably very hard to replicate. You would probably need actual glass to achive such a result. But seriously, this was amazingly well made! Thumbs up!

Incredible video Salim. I've been dreaming of a project like this for some time. I develop film photography, and I would love to have a device like this that can also set back to back timers off pre-determined inputs sequentially. I would love to talk to you about it sometime since I would see this as a huge learning opportunity. Your videos are always peak and as a fellow film maker I maddly respect your cinematic sequences and camera work. Great job, I hope to make this soon!

I have been looking for a standalone usb fader that gives an analog output for throttle limit control in space sim gaming, but could never find anything i liked. This modular kit looks to be as close as ive come across. Ill be following this closely, excellent presentation.

I've noticed that your projects are all of my dream projects... Good for you... It's funny though, I watched all of this stuff go from complete unobtanium outside of a real production budget, to like genuinely affordable prosumer pricing... Follow focuses, robotic gimbals etc... Even the drone stuff, although... Oddly enough the the basics got a lot pricier like your aluminum rails and your magic arms and whatnot.. So you know, there's no free lunch but it's definitely you know like you can you can afford that lunch if you save up and you make some smart purchases, which is also a lot harder than it used to be lol.. But the stuff exists now... I mean shoot just the the phone screen that I have right now, this would have been a couple grand back in the day to have a 1440 PO lead, I know because we use them for director monitor on sets... I'm granted that had like two 512 GB SSDs... And took two Sony 12 volts in the back.. you could actually do recording out to it but we didn't, lol usually we were just running secondary on b&c, and if I was unlucky using the remote stations connected to BNC... Because those things were a complete joke lol and it was easier usually just run a couple hundred feet of cable to the camera and if needed, follow around it and make sure there was slack for any moving shots lol.. another thing that has well.. okay hasn't changed that much, wireless transmission is still really hard for good footage.. But wireless controls that's like... That's a whole new world.
@JackWse20 күн бұрын
Oh well, I misread that one.. I thought you were building a wireless follow focus or a digital follow focus or something.. I didn't I didn't realize it was like literally a volume knob for for life... Although I bet you could convert it to something useful like a follow focus?
