Thanks for the video. I'm ditching my D610 and getting a secondhand X Pro 2. Why, you may ask? My D610 is enough for me, more than enough even. But it's so big and looked too professional that I got kicked out of so many places, where smartphone and "pocket" cameras are allowed. That's where the X Pro 2 comes in. It's so small it can pass as a pocket camera, at least to regular people's eyes. What's the point of having a camera if you can't even use it in the first place?

converted monochrome in a color sensor camera vs direct monochrome camera with a monochrome sensor, there is an important difference, dedicated monochrome sensors are way better according to me

Back Button Focus is AutoFocus, it's just a way to separate the focusing from the shutter button, setting the focusing action on a different button (usually in the back and to be used with the thumb). The reason to use BBF is to be able to keep the focus that would otherwise be reacquired every time we release and press the shutter button again. The opposite of autofocus is manual focus, manually moving the focus ring of a lens to achieve focus.

I really neede to watch this. About to get a Leica C 112 as my first actual camera, moving from shooting photos with my phone, and I always loved shooting Monochrome. Especially hearing "B&W doesnt have to be your entire personality" made it click for me that I shouldnt just focus on that, but still keep everything else in mind. Thank you

I jist purchased a used, excellent X-Pro2from MPB and will start using it immediately. I wanted something I could carry everywhere without a heavy, conspicuous load. I prefer the 23mm lens.

The only way to find what's best is to actually use it. I really hankered after a viewfinder after having several cameras which only had a screen, so got a Panasonic LX100 and a compact Sony both with electronic viewfinders. Now, a number of years later I found I never used the viewfinder after all but what I really wanted was a flip-up screen. Hence now using an old Fuji X-M1 which suits my way of doing things. Also have an X-S20 which has a viewfinder and a different style of articulating screen. Good for video and selfies perhaps but for stills I don't like the X-S20 screen so much.

The 23mm is the most versatile we can crop to give the impression of the 35mm we can approach closer with the 23mm but the 35mm is best for portraits I use the xpro1 with 16/18/23/35/50 Fujicrons great results with them all but the 23 is the all-rounder

I don't like what they did to the to LCD screen on the 3. It's discontinued from what I read so if I were to get this, I would downgrade to the 2.

35mm via APS-C (Fujifilm) is x1.52 cropfactor = 52.5mm FoV in FF terms. I prefer 23mm on my Fujis, because it's true 35mm in FF (35mm, 36x24mm Sensor) format. Everyone is being different. 🙂

Simple and great video. May I ask if you have any idea if Fujifilm will come up with new 23mm f2 or new 35mm f2 soon? Because I have this 35mm f2 and xt-30 ii combination and I am not sure if I should expand my lens collection with other current small f2 fujinon lenses.

Super quality video and I cannot agree more. But it is sad that an almost 10 years old camera still around 1200EUR on the used marker or MPB for example.. This is really makes hard to buy your dream camera and the X-Pro2 is my dream camera besides the Leica M Typ 262. Leica and Fujifilm for sure have a very very insane price range on the used market.. But I hope soon I could buy my first dream camera.

did this with my a6400. Sony's color science just didnt work for me and I went back to my starter Nikon D90. I love that you can shoot in B/W, review photos in B/W, and import them in B/W to Lightroom all as .arw RAW files and never see color the entire time. Still, I run a yellow/orange filter to force myself to commit and it has become my daily carry camera

Is because of rich brats like you that don’t even know what they are talking about that some kind of camera have become so expensive. Because people follow this kind of useless youtube videos and channels just to follow the latest trend, not because they like photography. Is this a review? You don’t really saying anything about this camera. Why you like it? Why is special? You just say random things that can be applied to any other film camera, maybe is the first film camera you have ever handled.

Hey everyone! What do you recommend for photography for cars? With the owner or without the owner in the photo? 23mm or 35mm. I attend many car shows, car events, car meets or just random cars I like on the road. What lens do you recommend? I have an XT30II and a generic kit lens.

Great vid! K1000 my first love. Bought in 1979 and still have and use. Had to re-seal her a couple times but still as reliable as ever. On my quiet days, I load a roll of Tri-x and walk the forrest. Its not one of my GFX, but it shouldnt be. Slows me down, keeps me grounded.

I purchased an X-Pro 1, new, when it was released. Over the years, I purchased and used more modern Fuji’s and an arsenal of lenses, but I often return to using the X-Pro 1 with either the 23mm or 35mm lenses and enjoy it as much as I did years ago, especially with the optical viewfinder. It is my poor man’s Leica. Many of the famous photographers of the past used far more primitive gear and took timeless photos.

That's not what focus check does. focus check shows a magnified image on your EVF/LCD when you adjust focus, and does not inhibit or slow you down when releasing the shutter
