Probably a an engineer "over engineered" the last patio build. I recognize that from working with those homeowners. It would have been helpful to post a link to products you use. I was looking for the component maker for a 4-season sun-room build since the big box stores pro desks are not any help as the big box stores do not sell metal or wood compents. They do sell "kits" but cannot help with non-standard size sun-room components. Where do you source components? Have you done a second story sun-room? fyi there is no such thing as a "licensed sun-room professional" in Texas. There is no such thing as a licensed construction contractor in Texas. Licensed contractor or home-builder was Sunset out of existence in Texas years ago. Only folks with a license is HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and other skill trades.

my daughter bought a house and has something like this. How do you insulate them? It is so very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. Its hard to enjoy the room.

How does this hold up to spraying hoses inside ie like a greenhouse?

Wouldn’t it have been better to clean that concrete or whatever they were going to do before put the room up? Same thing with cleaning the house. The concrete will probably need acid etching or if tiling, you want the connections to the floor after the tiling, pouring resin etc.. if you use the right materials, like greenhouse materials, you can get anti condensation glass or other materials. It’s done so condensation doesn’t drip on the plants and cause rot.

I have a similar patio to this; the panels under the windows are a 3in. thick painted fiber-board over styrofoam that is coming apart/ had birds burrowed into it. What are these panels called and could they be slotted into an existing patio? I'm not finding anything that could be a replacement. Would help to at least know what they're called or a brand name.
