Had he not indulged in alcohol , he would have dominated the football stage globally or at least in par with Pele, etc.....

Was lucky to watch him play Home & Away for most of his playing career @ Celtic... What a genius - a real genius on & off the ball - he was two passes ahead of every other player in Britain.

I am portuguese. My club is Benfica. My hero was Eusebio. Yet I bow to George Best. I think he was the best football player the world has ever saw. A pure magician and a super human being. I think he brought with him his sense of humor to heaven. RIP

I know almost nothing about football, but I thoroughly enjoyed this interview to a great, clever man. I was brought here because I'm intested in Ireland's complex history, especially Northern Ireland. I knew about George Best and his extrsordinary skills but I find this interview the Best I've seen about or with him. Thank you!

What a wonderful man .. person .. role model. Not an ounce of maliciousness. A twinkle in his eye, a smile on his lips, as honest and genuine and humorous a being as you could ever love to be associated with. God bless you Mr Shankly, rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon you.

The 70's dude was better ,and could and should have beaten Brazil in the Group game .However by the final Brazil were unbeatable and treated European Champs Italy like they were nothing .England had home advantage in 66 and would not have won it away from England

Sorry Bob , I think England were better in 70 but didn’t have luck , where as 1966 , did have a bit of luck .. that doesn’t make a better team imo ..

Very amateur interviewing and un professional the way he keeps interupting. The interviewer needs professional advice and lessons. A great man has had a great opportunity to be interviewed messed up by amateurs

I hope the truth comes out about how LFC treated this exceptional man. Including why he was dragged out of Melwood after he retired going along to watch a session, 'duffed up' and put in a taxi! Forget Klopp Bill Shankly is the stand alone Liverpool manager who dragged them out of the gutter and building what we see today!

Brilliant interview. What year was this done out of interest? Walter Winterbottom is talked of by Bobby as if he were still alive, and he died in 2002. So obviously before then.
