Please, if you can, follow up and revisit this site and others like it. There are dozens of videos of tiny forests being planted since 2020, but very little reporting on how they have fared. It would be instructive for people to see the 3 and 4 year old projects in full self-sustaining bloom. Isn't it curious that Miyawaki's method had been around for nearly 50 years before western ecologists took note (en masse during 2020 it seems)?

Hi. This plant grows very well in my allotment garden, even though the soil is not 'chalky' at all.

At Lidl, in the UK, I've purchased clear jars of pickled mixed wild mushrooms. I think these may have been the main ingredient.

Who wouldnt want foraged chocolate! Well done! I have just eaten homemade wholemeal flatbread with cheese and sea beet, wild marjoram, rock samphire, and an organic carrot. On my forage today I ate blackberries and Himalayan balsam seeds. And a couple of leaves of sweet oregano.

In Austria rosehip jam is very popular and tasty. You can buy it at the supermarket. You can also find rosehip jam in northern Italy.

Some great scenery. I think caernafon is pronounced more like can-are-von but not sure where I've got that from! I've only been to the llyn peninsula once on a day trip to abersoch and hell's mouth beach for a bit of surfing, which was lovely but also fairly busy. I actually thought the whistling sands beach was that one at first as they both have a horseshoe shaped bay

I've only seen one once, was wild camping in some woods and it came crashing through the undergrowth in the middle of the night towards me, scared the shit out of me! the amount of noise it was making it sounded big! I flipped a torch on and it immediately turned tail and ran off, obviously as startled as I had been 😂 felt really privileged to have seen one, I looked in the morning and you could see little runs through the nearby vegetation - I must have plonked myself down in the middle of one its paths

Really helpful video. I was reading my first mushroom book the other day and it had a key which mentioned a lot of these features, super helpful to see them demonstrated in a video 🙂 thanks for sharing your knowledge

There's a patch on my regular walk, growing in amongst some brambles. Found it earlier when I was getting blackberries. Bring the odd bit home to have with whatever I am cooking, the leaves do start to droop quickly once plucked so it is definitely one to either dry or if fresh same day use.
