For those who dont want meat, I totally recommend using a nut-roast mix (I favour the Artisan brand) and adding some of the other lovely ingredients mentioned here. You can make it as a loaf, as a tray bake or as 'balls' - ideal for parties!

how do you find chestnuts that big? the only ones I find are tiny, they're not worth bothering with, I leave them for the wildlife and buy them from the supermarket! are you a chef?
