Tk you Pastor. Love the simplicity of the sermon yet so rich and impactful. Loved it even in 2024. Just shows the enduring power nature of God's word.

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is February 19, 2023. Today is The Transfiguration of Our Lord. This passage from St. Matthew was our Gospel of the Day. And on this day, let us pray for people who care for our parks and forests and also for spiritual directors. The hymn, Crown Him with Many Crowns, compliments this Scripture. Ditto for Psalm 57:5.

@@revsledge It was wonderful to receive your reply. I hope your time of leave was refreshing and fruitful. I am a newly ordained Minister in the Uniting Church Of Australia and am currently in my first placement in a congregation .. For me preaching every week to the lectionary is hard work especially when the congregation only want a sermon that last 15 mins... I have found that these days I tend to go to your messages first, like I do commentaries, as they help me to keep my messages within timeframes expected and hit the nail on the head in way of content. I felt that I had to contact you and ask your permission to use some of your content in my own sermons... giving you credit for the research. Don't stress, I'm not about to become a nuisance fan.... I just wanted to acknowledge you and ask permission to use some of your message content in my own sermons as I grow in sermon prep myself. I've yet to listen to any of Diane's messages preferring yours each week... anyway... I merely hoped to introduce myself and seek your permission. Have a great day. Perhaps it's better to write to you via your church for private messages in future :-)
