When Jesus says, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also," might seem to be a statement of fact. If you give your heart to something, a cause, a sport, a person, you will likely spend money on them. But I think Jesus means this in the reverse order. When you commit money to something, your heart will follow. That would make giving an important spiritual practice.
