I don’t have any air from my vents, could a poorly installed android screen cause that, could a bad battery cause that?

These things lose a lot of heat out of the ducting. I advise cladding the ducting to make sure the air coming out of the vent is as hot as it can be.

Great job. It’s worth stripping, cleaning and lubing the pedal pivot while the assembly is out. Mine was so dry, the return spring wasn’t able to fully raise the pedal after depressing. The bolt that holds the oil in was absent, (visible at 5:58) and I don’t think it had seen oil for decades.

A quick twist of the fuel pump should remove the smoke (that's how you set the timing!) - My wife refuses to get in my Series 2a as she also says it sound like a tank! 😂
@retromechanic22382 күн бұрын
Cheers Paul, yes I was going to “advance” the timing ever so slightly but to be fair, the 2nd and 3rd starts are a lot cleaner It had a LOT of fluids to burn off on the first start so was a lot smokier than normal I’ll get it properly driving soon and then assess where it’s at 😃 Thanks for watching!

Hi mate, Ive had a couple of series 3. My first was an ex-BBC camera van for Take the high road and Monarch of the Glen. second was an ex British army number. never really had much bother with either of them but my mechanic was ex-REME and got stuck in., to bring the smoke/emissions down,run a gallon of paraffin through it on a long run without using your heater,not that they do much anyway, Keep on top of them and they'll serve you well.I'd love another one but probably couldn't afford it nowadays. All the best with her.

@@retromechanic2238I can one up that! The first time I attacked a master cylinder on a series Land Rover aged 20, I absolutely mutilated a spanner thinking this would be the answer to my problem and allow me enough access, many swear words later I had a brainwave and removed the entire assembly, never felt so dumb in my life 🤣

good to see it running, the clutch on my S3 was horrible when i first bought it, i added some shims into the slave, that sorted it for me, it's nice now not so sharp. and also did the same thing for the brake master as you did for your clutch, made all nice looking before putting it back "which i still haven't done"
