You're making a lot of excuses as to why you should be able to use someone else's work. You are encouraging others to use the copyrighted work of others, while making it sound like the rightful owner is the bad guy. If someone took your artwork, Februllage Postcard 2, changed the background color and used a different but similar stamp, would you be ok with them selling the image as their own and printing posters? I'd really like to know. If you're worried about using the artworks of others, so much so that you take a class about it, and when you come away from the class still unsure of the rights you can use, you already know in your heart that what you are doing is deceitful. You talk about possible consequences of stealing the art of others. If you're afraid of the consequences, you can be sure that what you are doing is dishonest and just plain wrong.

I thought you copied the pieces before gluing in so the news print wouldn’t show. i see news print on the hand. Not being critical just curious you did a wonderful job.

all of the art does look really cool and i understand toronto needs housing badly like most cities in canada, but i sadly doubt it will be housing that the people that need a roof over their heads can afford :/

Thank you so much for giving us a glimpse into the transformation process, and the tour on completion. I have always felt that every building has its own unique energy. It was very interesting to see how the energy changed as things progressed.. I liked that many of the artists achieved continuity while managing to preserve their individual style,

What a great collaboration! I especially love the garden area! It would be great if postcards of the art could be made and sold. On a side note … that chandelier! ❤❤❤ Thanks for being our docent! ❤ Kathleen

Leah thank you taking us on a tour of this amazing mural house before it's gone forever. Such a cool project,I love that even the garden was an immersive space as well. All the artists work blended so well together. Glad it's immortalized on social media and here on KZbin. Wish there was some philantropic collector who could buy the entire haouse and garden and save it or have it transported to another site where it could be a piece of permanant public art. Al the artist breathed such life into every inch of the house.(matt)P.s it's almost like the entire house was a readymade and became an art object it itself, such an amazing idea.

Who knew Collage ASMR was a thing!,Iloved that this was a kind of retrospective of all the collages you've created here on youtube and a glimpse into tour ever evolving style. But seeing them all like this gives us more insight to how you actually go about creating your brilliant collage art pieces It's like seeing you thinking visually as you sort through magazines and piles of images seraching for visual sparks and connections, and seeing it in this way also allows us to really see how your pieces actually come together to focus more on your process of creation. Maybe collage ASMR is a new thing! (matt) P.s i think the "Ski Lift" piece would make a great print.

With regard to longevity, you mentioned acid-free glue but the papers and collage fodder you use is likely not acid & lignin free, which will mean it will yellow and degrade overtime anyway, won't it?

You are correct . I have found that if you use an archivable type of glue , mat and frame in a logical manner , and keep the finished piece out of the sunlight , your creations will remain bright for many years . There are some products available that will out-last most of us .

Interesting video, thanks. Many of my images are sourced from pinterest, my own photos or other public web sites. I then have these downloaded into individual folders: faces, eyes, comics, words etc. Then print off copies when I need and I can do this as many times as I want. Others paper sources are kept in labelled envelopes and stored in trays.

Always love seeing your process. I need to art something today! BTW, I instantly became inspired by the image of the man examining cigarettes through the magnifying glass 1:09 ... I would substitute an image of a woman for the cigarettes and the message would be how men scrutinize a woman's appearance and the pressure women feel to look young and appealing.

Slow Art Making Radio is a masterclass in creativity! A delightful fusion. So fun! In watching your video on Copyright issues with magazines, I just don’t see how this infringes on anyone. Not to mention that most vintage magazines are hidden in attics, cellars, and flea markets destined to mold or rot. So why not breathe new life into them?
