@ReadyEmKay3 ай бұрын
Hi! Is your electric foot pedal still attached? You should just be able to push down on it. If it's mounted to the sewing table, some of them have an extra bar that folds up, and if you fold the bar down you can push with your knee against it instead of putting it on the floor and stepping on it.

The "belt" for the bobbin, as you call it, is actually the bobbin tyre, (or tire if you're in the US); same as the bobbin winding mechanism on many old Singers. Not sure what's happening with the lighting in this video. Most of it is very dark and hard to see anything, then suddenly there's perfect bright light then dark again. I've just seen a machine for sale near me here in Oz exactly the same as this one, badged as a Thomson Super DeLuxe. Might go and check it out. Thanks for the video🙂👍Looks like a great little machine.

I’m really glad you did this, it’s helped a lot.. I just have one question about the sleeve cap, how do you know it is going to fit the arm hole? Or do you have to walk the pattern piece to check it?

My layout looked fine but when I printed I had some pieces not matching and some pieces printed twice. Do you think it is tracing problem? It all seemed good on in details.
@mandelish6 ай бұрын
Is seamly any different that valentina. I tried Valentina and stumbled on so many problems, errors and other things that I am ready to give up trying to learn to computer draft. It drives me crazy to follow instructions closely but get some crappy errors. Maybe I should just load Seamly instead.
@ReadyEmKay6 ай бұрын
So, they used to be the same thing and then the 2 creators split paths and divided it into valentina and seamly. Seamly has done a lot of updates and changes since then. Hope this helps!
@mandelish6 ай бұрын
@@ReadyEmKayThank you. I switched to Seamly right after I wrote that and I was able to do what I have planned successfully. Pattern is ready, now I need to figure out a better layout for printing. Seems to be tricky ...Perhaps needs exporting to another app? Hope not...If you can give me please some tips how to go about setting up the layout and printing ...one more thanks for your kind reply.

Can you load different measurements into the ready pattern to get a pattern for somebody else?
@ReadyEmKay7 ай бұрын
Yes! That's why I switched to these digital patterns.
@mandelish7 ай бұрын
one could expect a circle skirt to be easy to draft....I would definitely do it faster with a pencil and paper or...in fact drawing on the fabric and cut...mix 10 mins and I am ready to sit at the the machine.
@ReadyEmKay6 ай бұрын
Yes, you are completely right. The time to switch to digital is if you're doing lots of circle skirts for other people and the whole pattern changes itself as soon as I take their measurements. So long term it saves a lot of time, but otherwise definitely easier on paper.
@pki59825 күн бұрын
Okaaay, good for you honey. Why on God's green earth you decide to comment that on a digital pattern tutorial is anyone's guess, but then I really don't wanna dive deep into that mind of yours, goodness knows what's in there if you think you can draw better circle by hand than a computer.

Having plotter is really helpful but what do you think about buying a projector and have the pattern projected straight on the fabric?
@ReadyEmKay7 ай бұрын
Great idea! When you set the pattern up for printing, I would recommend adding a grainline arrow onto each pattern at the correct angle to cut on, and you can make it exactly any length you choose. That way when you project it into the pattern you can move the projector closer/further from the fabric until the projected line is the correct length. I'd love to know how it goes!

It Works!!! I was following a KZbin video by an Aussie lady and clicking exactly where she was but it just didn't work. Re-watched yours and it was as simple as going around but not clicking back on the origin point (which she was doing). Why hers worked but mine didn't....who can say. My armhole is now looking great and ready to print. Thanks again - really enjoyed your detailled tutorial. Just need to get drafting some more menswear for myself now. @@ReadyEmKay

Hi, sorry for the wait, I've been trying to figure it out. I cannot find any way to make the color change stay when you go to print. It only changes in the draw portion. I will keep looking around and seeing what I can find, and if I can figure out a way I will update the comment response.

Aw man I’m trying so hard to make this dress for my niece but was hoping to make the skirt floor length! I bought 60” wide fabric and followed the instructions but once folded up it equals 29” which is the length I hoped the skirt to be! So when I cut the triangle corner it’s a tiny circle 😂 I’m not sure if there’s anything I can do to make this work? For it to be floor length

There is something you can buy at any store that sells sewing notions which is called a bodkin. The bodkin is used specifically to scoot through a tube of fabric to bring a string or unfold
