Apollo 1, (AS-204) was planned to be the first crewed mission of the Apollo program to land the first man on the Moon. It was planned to launch on February 21, 1967, as the first low Earth orbital test of the Apollo command and service module. The mission never flew; a cabin fire during a launch rehearsal test at Cape Kennedy Air Force Station on January 27 killed all three crew members.

That scream at the end is not a scream. It’s the cries of someone experiencing pain and Horror and fear in a way no human wants too. Imagine being trapped in a tiny rocket unable to move, strapped in. Then you get burned from behind. Just take a second. And imagine that.

This is what I remember hearing about when I was very young. Then, a "long time" later Mom sat me in front of tv and told me it was history and I watched the moon landing at 3 years old after "years had gone by" if knew time concept. My brother can't remember very early childhood but I do when something stood out.

I have a beautiful bakelite whiting and Davis purse..unfortunately the piece that frames the mesh broke and in another area they poorly glued part of the bamboo looking piece back on and it's horribly globby....can the purse be repaired?

Time to make someting 5:17 equates to price is wrong. This was a fallacy the early economists fell into. Called the LTV labor theory of value. Ricardo and Smith. Time has nothing to do with it. In short, its scarcity of the product plus demand based on its marginal utility that determines price. If the prices come down at that model builders site, theyll sell more units irregardless of labor. IOW Value Isnt determined by labor but by 'marginal utility' - demand for each incremental unit.

I know that this is an old vid, but I really enjoyed it. Thank you for taking the time to show us your process. Question: How did you get the Bakelite to shine again? I guessing that you gave it a couple of light coats of glossy lacquer. Thanks again. Michael

The reason why it started as a fire and grew out of control so fast and seemed to engulf him almost immediately, was because they pumped the cockpit with 100% oxygen from a prior malfunction. That oxygen ignited.
