This guy is awesome!! Lots of wisdom in his talks. The only thing I don't agree with is that 'the internal motivation of men is to do nothing'. I've been studying the topic for quite some time now and for men to feel fulfilled and happy they need to have a purpose and pursue it. When they hide from this or other responsibilities they feel depressed & women don't trust them to take care of the 'nest'. My partner is incredibly driven and loving, caring at the same time. And I would definitely never be with a man whose internal motivation is to do nothing. Otherwise, how can I trust he'll be an outstanding father? And how can I even be sexually attracted to someone who's got no drive or passion within them? Maybe I'm interpreting what he says the wrong way, but I wanted to share this thought.

Thos describes the relationship between my mother and my father perfectly. What confused me when I was little is that that my dad expected us to listen and obey when he asked us for something once. He expected us to listen to both him and mom and act immediately. He didn't start putting in the effort to listen to mom until he realized he was setting a bad example. Why would we listen to mom if he never did? If you're a man frustrated at how many times you have to tell your kids to do something, I guarantee that is half the times your wife has asked you to help. She feels your frustration tenfold. Lead by example. My dad figured that out, earned our respect.

Men need to be told several times to do a task because they are conditioned to believe that: 1. What women expect or demand is less important than men's own ideas and plans. 2. Women's wishes aren't and shouldn't be a priority in men's life. 3. It is a woman's job to listen to a man and do as asked as men are the boss. 4. It would be okay if men don't do what they are asked to as women would either do it themselves (like mum/sis used to do it for them) or there's no punishment for men for delaying the task with an excuse. 5. Household chores have been predominantly women's demain, so globally men take time to come around and share the responsibilities at home.
