That’s a messed up squirrel. Love your analogies. Makes sense. Kinda of obvious after you start to think of it. Thanks for sharing your expertise all these years.👏

I don't know, I watched a few times and the Costas, to me, seemed to have a little better clarity in the water than the others, but only a tiny amount... like splitting hairs amount. But, I also agree that Oakleys, in general, are more comfortable on my head, although about 20 years ago I had Costas, that they no longer make, that were the most comfortable glasses I ever wore. I wish they still made them, and I can't remember the name. I lost them about 5 years ago 😢. I do a lot of flats fishing down in Biscayne Bay, Florida Bay, and the Keys in Florida and Costas always seemed to have slightly better clarity for me and I could spot fish a little better but it was only a little better. That being said, I've had several Costas that would squeeze my head pretty tightly and almost rub the skin off the the top of my ear where my ear is connected to my head, and they would also make my nose sore. Right now I have Oakley Drop Points with prescription lenses in them, but they bother the top of my ears and the bridge of my nose after wearing for a few hours. I've had them for 5 years and the paint is coming off in some spots exposing a silver metal type of material. Considering the price of having prescription lenses put in them, I'll stick with wearing contact lenses and regular sunglasses with unprescribed lenses from now on. I also tried Maui Jim's about 10 years ago and I didn't like them at all. They would slip down my nose and head often and I constantly had to push them back up and adjust them. At this point, all I'd recommended are to choose the glasses that are the most comfortable for you. I wish stores would have a pair that you could test out all day like test driving a car for 24 hours, but I pretty much buy my sunglasses online nowadays because online I can find them on sale for really good prices. I just watched this video because the Woot app has a very good sale on some Costas, Oakleys, and Ray Bans right now and I'm trying to decide if and which ones I should buy. Then again, I might not buy any of them because I just saw that Hobie came out with prescription eyeglasses with several different magnetic clip on lenses that look much better than every other pair of glasses with clip on lenses that I've seen or had before. I had Oakley Servo XL prescription glasses with clip on lenses about 10 years ago but the frames weren't good at all and would quickly push out too wide. I went through 3 frames pretty quickly and that made me somewhat angry with Oakley. The other problem was that the clip on polarized lenses weren't that good and I couldn't put them on and take them off that easily (my left arm is paralyzed). The funny thing is that right now I'm wearing Oakley Airdrop eyeglasses that look very similar to the Servo XL's but the frames are much stronger and not nearly as flexible. I've only had them for about 3 months, but at this point the Servo XL's already widened and became loose on my head. The plastic those frames were made out of were way too flexible. As far as the Airdrops I'm wearing right now, I like them a lot, but it's still relatively early so I didn't want to give me a review or judge then yet. Anyway, thank you for the good and honest review. I already have several polarized Costas & Oakleys, so I think I should give the new Hobie eyeglasses with the 5 or 6 different polarized clip ons a try. The good thing is that it's $80 for the frames and $40 for each set of clip ons. And, I love that the clip ons are magnetic instead of little metal hooks. The clip ons fit on the frame perfectly, without any little gaps and you can't even tell when the clip on are on the frames. They fit so well that they looks like a normal pair of sunglasses when the clip ons are connected. The other great thing is that I can quickly and very easily take the clip ons off and on with minimal effort and they offer 6 different varieties, so I can put on the amber lenses for the early morning or cloudy day, and instantly switch to the dark gray/black lenses when the sun is fully out without any clouds. With all the different polarized glasses I've had in my life I've only really seen a slight difference in clarity while looking into the water, so these Hobies might be the best choice for me... I just wish I didn't buy my Oakley Airdrops 3 months ago. Oh well, I'm going to buy the Hobies anyway. Besides, it's good to have an extra set of eyeglasses in case something happens. In the past I would just wear contact lenses until I got replacement glasses but the older I get the less I like wearing contact lenses and I pretty much only wear them when I'm fishing, playing a sport, or exercising. So, 95% of the time I'm wearing my eyeglasses instead of contact lenses.

I connected my Lowrance unit to the trolling motor battery because the unit would go off each time I started the motor and the voltage dropped for an instant. That auto turning off was built into the unit. I had no problem I know of with interference. I just got a Helix 12 DI and ran a new #12 wire from the trolling motor battery. What will interference look like and will it interfere with the GPS. Thank you for your informative videos.

The studs are great. The install tool is awful. I tried three different tools, but they're all the same. About 10% of the studs get caught in the tool and have to be ruined with players to be removed. I just reinstalled mine for the second season and lost about another 10% to the same problem. These are WAY too expensive to lose at that rate.
@SeabassOutdoors11 ай бұрын
I’m not sure how you can ruin them with the tool? Mine worked flawlessly and I’ve installs thousands.
@StarDustMoonRocket11 ай бұрын
@SeabassOutdoors the tool is softer metal than the fastener, which is a huge no-no in machine design. It causes the tool to deform slightly, which traps the stud. Then the only way to get them out is with a pair of pliers.
