You were so right - bought this camera because of your recommendation and I can't believe how great it's been. A little bit of editing in Lightroom and I keep getting asked if I use film camera all the time! :D Some have asked if I got the Fujifilm X100VI. Only paid 250 for mine as I had amazon vouchers but I can recommend this camera for anyone wanting to do some cool street photography shots. Most importantly, due to its small size, taking photos of easy to miss moments has been so much easier.

Hmmm ... what to say. I enjoyed this video, but I do get tired of hearing this endless talk of film’s almost mythical qualities. Firstly a good image is a good image regardless. Taking average or poor images is never improved by film or otherwise. And no Good image would be rejected because it was digital ... or indeed film. I’ve worked as a commercial photographer close to 50 years, used most high level film cameras in that time and moved over to all digital probably 20 years ago. All our pro work is now shot on FUJIFILM GFX cameras and quality is faultless. Film is a choice for certain looks for sure.... but it’s not magical. In fact for most pro work it’s a liability best avoided. Given the amazing editing tools now available film is effectively unnecessary. A digital image taken on quality equipment is most certainly able to be edited as a 99.9% filmic image, whereas a film image is always just that and cannot be upscale to alternative uses. In the professional world reliability is crucial and film, whilst useful for limited uses, is best left in the past. Finally ..... why give this guy a hard time over the camera cost? He bought his for $200 ... just because you can’t so what. Try harder and be patient, it’s not his fault....😊

Brilliant review, thanks a lot. I'm in love with this phone. You have beautifully highlighted one of the good reasons of having this or any other mobile. I normally shoot with a Nikon D7200 and the 24-70 2.8. Whipping that out to take a photo or 2 in a restaurant for example is less than practical 😂 I'm seriously looking at getting this phone for street photography.

I've had the G7X (the older ones) with me throughout my career as a photographer and it's been a wonderful complement for both stills and video for the kind of work I do. Will definitely buy the newer model.

This is my first video of you that I landed on and it's sad that it starts with such apathy about a person that ended their life. While I read and appreciate your pinned comment, it leaves a sour taste and it would have been best if you had used another intro.

In America these are selling broken for $400. Used for $500-600, and new for almost $800

Interesting - I often dial my digital cameras and iPhone exposures back a bit as well. Blown out highlights are a dealbreaker for me.

What you’ve captured here is definitive proof of the fact that gear doesn’t matter, your eyes and your sensibility is something that just can’t be bought off a shelf. Thanks for sharing not only this video but a mini portfolio of your great photos 🥳

Did not understood the issue with the SL lenses??? Of course they are big and costly, but if you can use third party lenses, like Voigtlander, for example, on the manual side, why you need to go to the Leica SL lenses??? For sure, is a pleasure to use manual lenses, even if they don´t get the communication with the body, doesn´t really matter, but if you want to use autofocus lenses, check the size and weight of the sigma DG DN fixed lenses. The 50mm is just insane in image quality and weights just over 300gr. That´s the beauty of this system, the range of lenses you can adapt, in a body with a quality that is unmatch.

Just got my Q back from Leica🇦🇺after a lens service. It’s better than it ever was. A friend lent me a Fuji X-100 and the comparison made me realise just how good the Q is. Film simulations, meh. I have 27 black and white film styles in Nik Collection 7 Silver Efex alone, from 25 asa to 3200 asa….✌️

I have a Canon G9 and that thing has been reliable for a long time, only basically replaced by more modern smart phones, but I still love to use it for a lot of the qualities you get into near the end of this video. This video has definitely interested me in upgrading to the G7x MKII. My other dream camera is the Black Magic Cinema although for different uses altogether. Great work. Instant like and sub here!

I own a Canon R5, the SL2-S with 24-70mm kit, Fuji XT-5 and X-T50. I have to agree with you, the R5 takes better photos, has less misses and I find myself grabbing the X-T50 over the XT-5 (and definitely over the SL2-S) simply because it is so light when I am travelling. The SL2-S is a beautiful piece of industrial artwork but I find myself using it very little

Best thing I ever did was to look for a Fuji X100VI and seeing the INSANE prices they were going for so I got the Q instead and absolutely LOVE IT! Love having the ability to shoot with flash at every speed and while the OS isn't the best in the world I have gotten sharp images at 1/8" which is more than enough for me.

Well loved your video and the honest review of the device but one very very important thing you missed to mention that with that photography kit you enable yourself and your device to directly use 67mm filters etc , you just pick your normal cameras filter up and slap it on back of your phone with kit which has threads on the back and there you go , versatility.
