I definitely believe that Mufasa needed more screen time and Scar having his own scene would also add to the movie in my opinion. It is a bit of a.. sinister scene... considering the implication towards Nala. A reprise of "Be Prepared" would've been banger though.

I just ordered myself a copy of the DVD. To me it is a film - a nice movie. I take care *not* to think about the actual war, or the actors and their squabbles, it is just dntertainment. Good though! 😊❤😊

It was said that Nala was Scar's daughter so his proposing to her would have been very incorrect indeed (a violation of royal protocols) 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

the song for mufasa does indeed feel out of character for him, it was cringy, idk if it´s because of the scene being the early drawings and the voiceover and not an actual finished scene or what but mufasa singing rather than looking all mighty and regal is weird

What sucks is the book is depressing as shit and not at ALL like the movie, other than the hitler youth kid and the girl in the attic. Good book but miles and miles away from the movie. It amazes me that the script came this far away from the book.

They could have kept scar proposing to Nala but then it definitely would not have been a kids movie the rating definitely gone up because it has rape and all sorts that could have ruined the film and it definitely wouldn't have succeeded I'm not sure to much but that would be the 1st 15 or 18 rated Disney movie but people that are older would understand the movie and adults may not want their children watching it other people would want to this scene in because it would be funny but that's my opinion why they shouldn't add this scene

It is odd that none of the men are wearing watch chains. A gentleman wouldn't be caught without one. Some men down on their luck would wear a chain if they hadn't a watch in their pockets. 😂

We give James Earl Jones a lot of credit for his performance as Mufasa but let’s not forget the Jeremy Irons who played Scar was incredible as well. The worst part about the live action was Irons was missing he could never be replaced as Scar.

1964 has two of the best films in film history. Its very rare to have those two in the same year. My Fair Lady and Mary Poppins. Art should generate an emotional response to the viewer. This meets that standard I use to play the album over and over again.

The best movie of all time, bar none! My father was in WWII, and I know what he went through…Hell, utterly hell. My hat’s off to all those men and women who fought in WWII. The director and this cast should be memorialized in this achievement in some permanent way
