Hey mate, I’m going on a Holiday in a couple weeks and I’m staying fairly close to Karuah River. Would you say fishing in the river is good for beginners? Or is it a bit for complex and technical and more for advanced, experienced fishermen?
@TyCampbell666Ай бұрын
good to see a few people know there stuff and give it back to those who think they know 😂 always research the local legislations and keep it on you as you never know when you will need it. i had a similar issue with a police officer who tried to play the hard ball at a dam in qld and got schooled in all aspects of the law to the point of pulling out the "when you were a kid" medley over the radio and still got told off 😂 always love seeing responsible respectful fishos, keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍

Love the video keep it up. Got a question how do you work the cranka crab and the muscle lure I’ve tried the muscle lure but no luck.
@wellplayedfishing78092 ай бұрын
Thank you! I literally cast them out as close as I can to any structure (pylons, washboards, floating pontoons, racks, boats) let them sink and wash your line closely as they can take off quickly with your lure but I literally dead stick them and once it hits the bottom bring it back and repeat 👌🏽

Hey mate, Just stumbled on to your channel as I am heading to the Lake in mid October. I’ve been there before but struggled as I mainly fish the salt. Looking to get into a few more fish next trip. Do you think mid Oct is too early for Top water? I’ve never fished the chatter baits but look interesting Cheers
@wellplayedfishing78092 ай бұрын
Definitely not mate, it would be very close to perfect for surface. If you get a warm calm day that should bring plenty of insects and bugs out for that night and it can go absolutely off! New moon of a night is the best too 👌🏽

Shame indeed, as a resident for 28 years our secret is out even more! So much for the glory days when it was quiet, undisturbed, and largely unknown. The more you spread it, you will be fishing it just the same as The Entrance. Same thing has happened at Crescent, SW Rocks, Harrington etc etc etc. Pity indeed. No more quiet unnumbered spots from here on in.
@wellplayedfishing78093 ай бұрын
Ive been doing videos for about 5 years now and I have learnt that all the spots I’ve shared are still fishing the same. It’s a myth that everyone starts showing up and ruins it, maybe some location where I’ll keep it to myself especially concentrated areas like bass creeks etc.

More than likely... in winter the Bream school up in the bottom section of forster to spawn... probably why most if the fish in the vid were very solid fish.

Yep definetly. Chatterbaits are my favorite lures for bass as you cast half a metre away from a snag and the vibration sucks them out from anywhere. I even got two on one hook, only small ones because u know how chatterbaits are pretty much jig heads and a decent 40cm x2 wouldn't fit . Chatterbaits are easy to cast and will bring anything and no special tricks to tie on or rigging or anything (except for trailers). Go check out my other channel @UPPABassFishin

Great! Do you think circle hooks will have a better hook rate?
@wellplayedfishing78093 ай бұрын
In terms of using bait yes I do think they have a better hook up rate if you are leaving your rods in a rod holder etc
