Looks like fun. Where did you launch from in the river?

Hey mate. Just wanted to thank you for the content you put up. I've just started getting into fishing and come from the Maitland area so its very inspiring to see that someone can fish the area well when they hone their skills. Im looking to get a kayak and i dont think im ready to invest in a peddle kayak just yet. Wondering what paddle kayak you started out on and if you would recommend it for starting out?
@wellplayedfishing7809 Жыл бұрын
Hey mate no problem at all. Appreciate the kind words! The paddle kayak I started out on is no longer available to buy but it was just a standard paddle kayak nothing too serious. There are a few at BCF we sell around the $500-$1000 like the (pryml legend fishing kayak) or (pryml titan fishing kayak) or pryml spartan kayak) just a few options to mention

Hey bud. I ended up getting a kayak but now i'm not sure of the best area to head out for a beginner. I'm in the Maitland area and was looking for somewhere to launch from that would be easy starting out and with an area that might hold flat head and bream. I tried morpeth but was told by a local that its best for targeting bass there. Thanks for your help.

I like those Live target slow roll shiners too. They have done well on jacks and jew over the last few years! What PE/line class is the braid on that jew reel? I struggle to get the lure down deep in the hunter with the high flow.

That is 15lb prospec from memory. Yeah I usually can only fish for them for about an hour before the tide turns and starts really fast again
