Thank you for saying that some of these are getting ridiculous! I’m a GenX’r and have been trying to find vintage items from the 90s that I used to wear. Pulling my hair out trying to find stuff with all these new descriptors

The deco revival wasn’t in the 80s it was primarily in the 70s. think of the store biba which started in the 60s but id argue their peak was the 1970s with their art deco, 1970s does 1930/1940 fashion. it was gorgeous

Lmao, hope i don't get banned, the whole reason i have an older man on my profile pic is so that i won't be bullied and objectified for being a younger female. (Added bonus, this particular old white dude is Captain Murphy of the great crew of Sealab 2021, who instead of maintaining control of the status quo, is an agent of chaos and silly subterfuge. He's a selfish, sexist idiot completely lacking in self awareness and often ending in self-destruction... seemed like as good a dude mask as any. 😅) Also... 40 and grandkids?! 🤣 I mean it's possible but...

Can't believe I learnt Joy had been discontinued from your video. I'm gutted, that's a huge loss - especially considering it was made in response to the crash of '29 and made it through the Depression. And the state of Guerlain's perfume offering is grim - trying to find Jicky in parfum concentration is impossible, despite the fact they get to lay claim to having the oldest perfume in continuous production (it came out in 1899!) My favourite perfume formerly worn by a fashion icon would be Bandit by Robert Piguet, which was worn by Marlene Dietrich. It's certainly not for everyone and unfortunately very hard to find in Australia where I live, but I love, love, love it. There's nothing ive smelt that even comes close to it.
@enfleuri5 ай бұрын
oh I want to try Bandit now ! And I have read that Jicky was worn by Brigitte Bardot. I recently tried it and loved it 😊 I wonder if Chanel had anything to do with Joy being discontinued since these two have been competitors for decades 👀
@laurafergs885 ай бұрын
@@enfleuri it's available on the Robert Piguet website for the EU and US, so you should be able to find it! Another one from them is Fracas, which counts Marylin Monroe, Madonna, Courtney Love and even Martha Stewart as fans. It was made by the same nose who made Bandit and it's considered the reference tuberose perfume. And Jicky is a fun one. It's not sweet or floral but it is lovely. It's extremely unisex too.

It was an honor to know Jane Birkin personaly as my mother worked for her before my birth until my 26th years. To be able to roam her home while she was there was incredible. At time i didn’t knew who she was when I was a kid. She would often tell me to turn on the tv and she would put some cartoons for me. The more I grew the more I understood who she really was. I would often help her when nobody can. I remember re organising all her books letter by letter with my cousin who passed away one year before her passing. My cousin told me that Jane was comforting her by text which was really really touching. I was invited at the funeral of Jane but wasn’t able to come as I was in Normandy at that time. May she rest in peace. Honor was great.

babycore is often associated with age regression. there are some iffy people who fetishize it, but when its referring to age regression its harmless. its usually a coping mechanism or a trauma response.

There I was thinking that a "clean girl" was someone who is fresh and natural, with minimal or no makeup. With a subtle but classy style. Nice clean, natural skin. As a guy, I would go for the clean or natural girl every single time, if I wasn't already attached lol. So sick of artificial, caked on makeup, tattoos, etc like some desperate, pathetic need for attention. A classy, minimal look also implies good values, morals and other classy behavior. Those are the traits that smart men look for. The best type of woman to invest in and build together with!

I'm trying to understand from a garment standpoint if zendaya is wearing a bodysuit the shade of her skin under this whole suit, because the metal would hurt and also be freezing. The metal edges could probably cut her skin since it's the original suit and pretty old. What do you think??

Fine - you can call it western dark acedemia and eastern dark academia. Imagine you live in China, the default is Chinese. Guys talking about white people… get a life! Race only divides people. Also, the aesthetic of someone studying in a Muslim university could be different. Don’t pin “dark academia” on them. Take their aesthetic and call it something new. These people who criticize all these things in this way really need to get a life and just be nice to everyone. I’m not even white and I think all this western white hate is ridiculous

Wow, people attacking g cottage core (which I don’t even like) as colonialist or white are so small minded. Anyone can embody these fashions and lifestyle. Most of these haters are just hateful and bored and probably have too much money. Stop calling everything that offends you white or colonialist people and let a life!

Sadly this aesthetic is very classist and can only be obtained by the stereo typical influencer a thin white girl who fit society’s beauty standards who doesn’t have to try as it is because with or without makeup and whether or not she worked out and no matter what she wears she will always be seen as attractive and that is not ideal for the average person who is married works full time and has a family. This aesthetic is another one set up to remind many minorities that they will never be good enough because they don’t live up to these standards. I would buy into this aesthetic if they showed someone who didn’t live in a perfect home wasn’t fit and didn’t have perfect skin but is using these standards to improve themselves and something like that went viral. But sadly this aesthetic is another rich white girl flexing that they can live this way and most can’t.
