I'm so tired of the policing of clothing. I was actually a lot more afraid of showing skin before high school. But by the time I entered high school I was so over it. I just wanted to have fun with fashion. I experimented a LOT and I showed a LOT of skin. There were adults who told me things like "you'll give people the wrong idea".... That just sounded like such bullshit to me at the time and I still stand by that. If someone gets the "wrong idea" that's on them. I wasn't showing off skin to attract people or to sexualize myself like that. Did my exploration of my sexuality come through in my clothing choices? Sure, but that was for me. Just because my fashion choices were tied into my sexual identity doesn't mean that I was sexualizing myself for the sake of attracting men. It was so much more about gaining confidence and autonomy than anything else.

Yes, we need to create a safe space for girls to be able to experiment with clothing without being responsible for regulating the male gaze.

@@enfleuri I know this is off topic but do ya agree that the dark cloud that descended on some of yesteryear's child/teen celebs (Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Bynes, Jodie Sweetin, Macaulay Culkin, the Olsen twins, Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Edward Furlong, Chace Crawford, Kiefer Sutherland, Stephen Baldwin, Matthew Underwood, Woody Harrelson, Brad Renfro, Tracey Gold, Amy Locane, Heather Locklear, Shia LaBeouf, Heath Ledger, Jonathan Brandis, Skye McCole Bartusiak, Ashleigh Aston Moore, Danielle Fishel, Rick Springfield, Dennis Hopper, Kim Richards, Charlie Sheen, David Cassidy, Todd Bridges, Leif Garrett, Gary Coleman, Peter Robbins, Maureen McCormick, El DeBarge, Mischa Barton, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Vanilla Ice, Wesley Snipes, Mackenzie Phillips, Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, Nick and Aaron Carter, Ryan, Redmond, Griffin and Tatum O'Neal, Adam Rich, Dustin Diamond, Danny Bonaduce, Dominique Dunne, Rebecca Schaefer, Anissa Jones, Robert Downey Jr., Bobby Brown, Mel Gibson, Tevin Campbell, Michael Jackson, Hank Williams Jr., Ally Sheedy, Rob Lowe, Errol Flynn, Shannen Doherty, Jason Priestley, Brandy Norwood, Rebecca Gayheart, Estella Warren, Marley Shelton, Veronica Lake, Michelle Thomas, Darius McCrary, Marcus T. Thanks.

The policing of what women wear is all the more disturbing because sometimes we are told it’s to protect us but why should girls be restricted because some people lack decency and restraint. The euphoria dress code is so liberating because those teens get to express themselves without the suffocating boundaries of our society.

yes! it's very interesting what they are creating with the costume design. and at the same time, its distancing from realism tells us a lot about how what girls and women should wear is still heavily debated in our society.

If this video has some editing mistakes, this is because my ex-trusted editing software decided to become “Backstabber” By Kesha, and corrupt the file I was working on for days. Friendship ended with Filmora, now crying is my new best friend 😌 Edit: The Euphoria High School Trend has 60M views not videos! 😮💨

If you're looking for a new editing program, Da Vinci Resolve is pretty good. #NotSponsored lol it's just my favorite editing software I've used so far.

I’m really sick of girls (and guys) clothing getting more and more immodest every day. It’s like the show Euphoria is promoting everything bad. I don’t think there is a single good thing in the show, but yet it still gets promoted to teens and younger audiences. It’s really hard to find any good teen shows on tv anymore😔
