Looks and sounds brilliant but damn, the price has doubled. At the new price you can get a full electronic drum kit. I guess it's more portable and silent but still

What the difference between the session studio classic and session studio classic

Great, honest review with useful real world scenarios. Unfortunately the inability to preview sounds and lack of sensitivity are both significant issues for me. Hope they address these because its otherwise versatile and nice upgrade from other offerings. Thank you!

Is this kit different to the session studio

Wood types are a marketing strategy. Same with guitar etc. it makes like a 5% difference. Heads and tuning and most importantly the room and player make all the difference

6.13 on this video...I thought that's table serving tray.. Ok... really, wery narrow profiled cymbals📉

The snare could sound better. But what a nice sounding shell pack.

What you lose in crashabilty you gain in articulation. These sound great with rivets, too.

Never have I heard of a ride that has no bell. Like, I thought you exaggerated, but no, it has no bell at all. xD Crazy stuff... The crashes fall in line with what I noticed recently: The new trend is going for dark and trashy cymbals, with a rather fast decay and a lot of wash.

They sound amazing! Might have to be an upgrade for me in the future. Great video.

I just got the Istanbul mehmet 14” traditional hi hats and they are keepers. They remind me of the old zildjian’s I grew up with.

Here I come around wishing that Remo wouldn't sound so good.. but they do. They sound the best. They just aren't as consistent as Evans or Aquarian. It's unfortunate. I wish Remo was more consistent but perhaps the inconsistency is a byproduct of the manufacturing method that makes them sound so much better. They just sing more than the other heads. They also feel more organic.

WHY does no one put up the 16, 18, and 20 crashes and play them all mixed together with several beats so we can hear how they all sound TOGETHER?!?! Then in your full set demo later, you just beat the hell out of them with steady quarter notes! ☠️

I've been playing a YAMAHA Recording Custom for a long time. I bought a Stage Custom to teach my young boys - price is amazing for a starter kit for them. I absolutely love this kit! The shells are full, punchy and beautiful - I play this kit now more than my RC!! Go get one - you won't be disappointed!!

Kudos to the drummer jamming on the Demo. The kit sounds great and the drummer was laying down some killer grooves.

Great craftsmanship, I only wish they'd use normal lugs. The current ones are clunky

Hi everyone! I'm looking for some advice on snare drums for Funk and Fusion. I'm currently comparing the LP Banda Snare to the 13-inch Gretsch Brooklyn Chrome snare. I mainly play Funk but love exploring interesting sounds and grooves, focusing heavily on hi-hat, kick, and snare to stay deep in the pocket. Would the LP Banda Snare bring a unique vibe to my playing, or is the Gretsch Brooklyn a better choice in terms of quality, detail, and versatility? I’m after a snare that stands out but still complements my style. Thanks so much for your insights!

I've usually always done the star pattern tuning method, and the turning and detuning the tension rods method like Nolly's doing here, but I think I'm going to begin investigating the latter a bit more often. It's essentially the same concept, but I find it's more accurate and quicker to get a fundamental tuning and pitch..

Always impressed with Nolly’s drum tuning consistency.

What about the Snare beds being left flat after cutting and the end plates of the wires touching the shell in the beds? Doesnt this cause some disturbed frequencies and after-buzz?

As far as rides go, the Planet Z was the only one that had great definition! And I like the Planet Z hats as well! Sadly, the 16" crash doesn't sound very good and that's all the set really offers.

The Yamaha Stage Custom Birch isn’t a great kit “for the money.” It’s a great kit for ANY money!
