HI D.I.D. Thx for your interesting review, your opinions and humour. I am looking for a MIDI controller for my Korg Gadget in my iPad Pro 2021, I am using Roland FP-10 (I never gigged with it) but it has no mod wheels, faders and knobs like the M-Audio but it has Bluetooth unlike so many MIDI controllers, it gives me the ability to use USB and Bluetooth simultaneously. I also like your M-Audio Graded hammer video, cheers from Montreal Quebec !

Could you share all of your drum pad, fader, and knob controls please? (For example, what's in your next 8 pads for keyswitches) Also bank B isn't working for my key switches... what is going on with it?

9:24 Perfect observation. That's why dry libraries are counterproductive, and even with excellent outboard effects (convolution reverbs etc.) the effects are questionable, and almost never real. 11:45 another essential observation ! You may spend 3 days perfecting your brass track, but hey ! You'd NEVER meet any deadlines, or get anything done before you run out of time... Points to ponder ! 12:20 - just get CineBrass Sonore ! Simply perfect for soloing, or Acoustic Samples V Horns (no key switches here neither, but the libraries are extremely well playable, and easy to navigate).
@GoOKuSj332 ай бұрын
I will not adjust manually my notes, because I like working with sheet music, and when I export midi into the score, its gonna be very off. If the library doesn't give me playability out of the box, I'm not getting it.
@DIDCHOI2 ай бұрын
Essentially all libraries have delay. This one just happens to have them all consistent and measured. Generally all scores are gonna need midi clean up before exporting to orchestration or engraving anyways. Expressive mockups are generally less quantized too and would need clean up.

Is this keyboard recommended for learning beginner piano lessons?
@DIDCHOI3 ай бұрын
I personally wouldn't. To learn piano, you'd want a real piano or something as close to a real piano as possible. The action on this keyboard is not similar to a real piano, it is intended as a tool for production more than to play.

You should check out Spectralayers 11. It can separate guitars, unmix voices, unmix drums. SL11 is the best version yet. Still will be artifacts but they are much improved. It's really worked well for me taking apart old multitack tape recordings remixing them.

I’m away from my studio right now, but after watching your video it occurred to me to use it to shape the characteristics of strings by tweaking the harmonics. I use the Studio Strings in Logic Pro and the Spitfire BBC core, and I think this will help make them more natural sounding! TY!

Hello, your tutorials are very good. But unfortunately you forgot the most important thing here. Gain staiging only works if you first activate the "Pre-Fader Metering" function in the control bar so that you can see the input signal of the mixer channel. Otherwise you cannot perform gain staiging, OK? Best regards

I can't hear a difference. I have Logic, and RX10 Standard. The RX11 sounds about the same as I'm used to with RX10. It is helpful for me. I shometime shoot live bands with a nice stereo mic on my camera, then I master the audio. I've improved the mix by separating the stems in RX then bringing up the vocal a little. So you can improve a crappy capture a little. I've also heard that these work better on NON-MASTERED MIXES. The Queen track is a mastered mix.
@DIDCHOI4 ай бұрын
Good point, perhaps without mastering it could do a better job! Will have to give it a try when I get time.
@ChadWork14 ай бұрын
@@DIDCHOI I did just watch a video comparing RX10 to 11 Rebalance, and 11 does sound better. So I'll probably use Logic to split out stems. I don't want to pay 100.00 to upgrade RX. Their improvements were incremental at best this time.
@DIDCHOI4 ай бұрын
@ChadWork1 very true. I was on 9 so I upgraded, but not a huge difference to need updating every version

Do you know why they’re smart artifacts when you’re doing this stuff because whoever mixed it you’re gonna have more artifacts it depends on the mixing if somebody mix it good they’re gonna have less artifacts it’s all about the mixing if you mix it good you will have less artifacts but if you have a shitty mix, you have more artifacts😊
@DIDCHOI4 ай бұрын
Depends on the style of music. It’s especially harder with cymbals cause in non jazz styles, cymbals are washy and wide spectrum, not mixed to be clear and distinct.
@justinrivera16034 ай бұрын
@@DIDCHOI I guess it could be both🤷♂️😊
@Fiveash-Art4 ай бұрын
@@DIDCHOI Right you're going to get bleed from most of the tracks especially at the higher frequencies no matter what ... At least from the technology that Logic is using to build this feature. You're never going to get 'a good mix' that just simply isolates every track from certain frequencies .. Instruments share frequencies unless you're making some weird , non traditional kind of music.
