Quick demo of Samplicity's Berlin Studio plugin.
Can it put any sound into the Teldex Hall?
I used OT samples (Berlin Winds and Junkie XL Brass) in their mixed mic settings vs their close mic settings to see how similar the results are.
I used Sample Modelling, which is recorded in an anechoic chamber, to see if a bone dry sound can be put into Teldex and match Berlin Brass.
I used close mics from other libraries to see if they would sound like a Teldex library.
I used Spitfire Studio Woodwinds to see if a dry room can sound like Teldex.
With this plugin, I think Sample Modelling gets a lot more useful! Especially if you use OT libraries!

Sample modeling is a very unique example among these comparisons and sounds completely different from the other examples. The Berlin studio seems more suitable for sources recorded with a close microphone. Making modeled instruments sound like they're in a room is even more difficult than I imagined."

Yeah, anechoic recordings are very hard to work with. But it’s still a pretty decent solution! Definitely easier to match close mics from other halls though

wish u didnt have valhalla reverb on some tracks so we can have a true A B , thank you for this nonetheless

Valhalla is not active! It’s either not routed or the mix is 0! Good observation, should gage clarified

A doubt I have with this plugin: I don't know if it is necessary to use it with the Orchestral Tools instruments because they already have the Teldex room reverb and its position on the stage. Thanks for the video!

For sure. Here it's really only for demonstration purposes, cause we have a confirmed comparison of a close mic and a tree mic in Teldex, so we can compare accurately with the reverb version. But for regular use, no point there hahaha
