Hi Nicola!! I love your wreath. It’s just so rustic and natural and I bet it smells so nice too. Very welcoming!! Presents are in and the family all coming on Sunday for a Christmas tea (is there such a thing??!!). I used to always have a Christmas Eve party but since George died I just can’t do that anymore. It’s a sad time too. However, looking forward to everyone coming over and they’re a good bunch and there’s lots of laughs and teasing. I have knotted twine in my hallway and it doesn't pull green. It's very much a greige so must be the lighting. We like to punish ourselves don't we. I decorated my lounge a few weeks ago ready for our new sofa which got delayed by 2 weeks and it stopped me getting the Christmas decorations up. It's done now and I'm not entirely happy with them but it will do. Time has not been on my side at all. There's always next year, right?! Glad you dad's memorial went well.

Def need to take a break and enjoy the process. We started getting the decorations down from the loft and had a bit of a clear out of the more kiddie stuff which was a bit sad but as my daughter is now 21 probably had to happen! 🎄

Oh Nicola my heart goes out to you. The death of a parent always leaves you feeling extra vulnerable ❤ It did when my Mum passed away. I think you have to hold onto the fact that storms pass and night turns into day. Take comfort that all your loved ones are near even if physically they are not with you. Black Friday seems to have been going all month. I have stocked up on some bougie make up. I have also used a bit of some money from Mum to get my first designer bag. By strathberry the model retails at about 450 but I got one in excellent condition immaculate for well under 200. Will start looking in the sales at curtains. You will weather the storm as our local town Tenbury Wells has. Flooded again last weekend but rises like phoenix 🐦‍ 🔥 🙃

I thought it was just me the universe was hurling crap at! In the last month my mum got diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, my sister with breast cancer and now my gall bladder is playing me up. Life just sucks at the moment and I’m finding it hard to find any joy in the season. We had a nail in our tyre a few months ago. Popped it into the tyre place thinking new tyre…easy job. No…one of the technicians reversed another car off the ramp carelessly and bumped into our car causing £600 worth of damage. They paid for it but it was still a hassle of getting 3 quotes for the repair and then paying for the repair ourselves before they reimbursed us. Fun times! If you figure out how to break the cycle do tell!

Hi Nicola! What rotten luck with your car! When bad luck hits it seems to stay around for a while but it will stop. The last few months have cost me a small fortune with things breaking. New shower, then my water heater had to be replaced and a completely new shed roof (huge leak). Now it’s Christmas but I’ve nearly finished shopping for gifts. I hope you’ve had a lovely night out. So sorry you are having a run of bad luck, I can so relate. It started for me last Nov, my lovely dad died of a cancerous brain tumor,r. In January my lovely nan in law died. In March my middle daughter ( whos in a controling relationship) stopped talking to me and wont let me see my granddaughter. In May i had my Katie (border) collie who I had for 16 years put to sleep. Then my guineapigs got a disease and wiped 8 of them out. I just put 1 foot in front of the other and try and surround my self with good kind people. Really hoping things get better for you, big hugs ❤

Good morning!!! After not having my phone for several days (disaster 😮!!!) and now having a new phone I binge watched your vids. Loved them all!! Lots of lovely ideas for Christmas. Snap re no hot water!!! I had just forked out money for a new shed roof when the water heater went on the blink. Nearly 2 weeks without hot water 💦 . Thankfully everything is on a functioning level again!!! I’m pleased Phoebe is settling into her new school. I hope mum is doing ok too. Lovely to be back and I’ve enjoyed the catch up!! I was thinking about getting one of those drinks dispensers and using it with fairy lights inside instead. I figured the hole for the tap would be useful to feed the wire through if using mains operated lights. I also loved those Christmas tree glasses. Think they’d be nice with a drop of baileys in over Christmas!

Wow which store was this. We have a very large home bargains in Northampton a recent addition. So many shelves just emptied I would say they didn’t even have a tenth of what you had showed and they said they were struggling to restock unfortunately
