Insofar as a followup video exploring the many traits of Selene's arsenal, it is something I've considered (and even loosely outlined) but have never seriously contemplated. In part, my inaction is owed to the practical-the time available for me to commit to such an endeavour, as well as the skillset and technology that such a commitment demands for it to be done well-but two other factors inform my thinking on the matter. First, I'm uncertain what I can _say_ about the viability of the game's weapons and traits that I have not already _shown_ in the clips I've shared. Second, I've done my best to focus this channel on Housemarque's game and not me, its player, and I worry that such a video will shift the focus away from RETURNAL. Anyway, this is a longwinded way of saying, "I appreciate your interest. I've given the idea a lot of thought over the years, but have yet to commit to it for a variety of reasons. While I do not see such a video happening in the immediate future, I cannot completely discount the possibility that it may happen."

You may laugh, but the hardest part about writing this description (and the ones I'm currently crafting for the five full-biome recordings that will soon follow) was editing it down to fit into KZbin's 5000-character limit. It's difficult deciding what to cut!

The Spitmaw Blaster is far from RETURNAL's best weapon, but it certainly numbers among my favourites-especially when it has both Explosive Spit and Slug Shot! Had I been rushing to clear this Containment Room (rather than playing around with melee attacks against hostiles on the z-axis and re-learning the attacks in Rounds II and III), I suspect I could have lifted the lockdown in about sixty seconds.

For the longest time, so did I! The longer I play RETURNAL, though, the more I start to question my underlying assumptions about what it does and does not permit.

You've a keen eye! To date, I have not used DMJ. While I cannot discount the possibility of DMJ appearing in future recordings, I do not anticipate it.

I sympathize. As this clip demonstrates, even careful aim can still result in a miss when firing at range. For that very reason, I'm grateful for the Enlarged Chamber trait on this particular Thermogenic Launcher!

There's a lot happening in that corner! Initially, there's an attack I dodge by dashing backwards at the last moment, then there's the melee attack that kills one Lamiadon while simultaneously intercepting-and thereby preventing-the attack another. All told, it was very fortunate for me to walk away from that encounter unharmed.

Provided players have the Icarian Grapnel, which is unlocked after completing the Crimson Wastes (the game's second biome), they can access the Tower via the Helios crash site in either the Overgrown Ruins or Echoing Ruins.

Thank you for the compliment! Were I to hazard a guess, I suspect the difference between your setup and mine is that I'm playing on an HDR-capable television set. (For my first several months with RETURNAL, I was playing on an older set that, while capable of 1080p, did little to show what the PlayStation 5 could truly do. I couldn't believe the difference after upgrading to a 4K HDR television.) If that isn't the case, let me know; we can compare settings and, hopefully, get your gameplay looking just as good!

The Coilspine Shredder is an oddity. It is misunderstood and underused while simultaneously overrepresented in the Tower of Sisyphus, what with the state of RETURNAL after the latest (and, in all likelihood, last) few patches. Thank you for your comments; welcome to the Archive!

@@returnalarchive The Tower is where I learned to use it. Melts stagger bar too, which is great in Tower. Dreadbound too is misunderstood, but really good if you learn how to utilize it.
