RETURNAL | R_A.0769 Overgrown Ruins [Melee + Tachyomatic Carbine] (HDR) NO DAMAGE

Housemarque's RETURNAL celebrates its third birthday on 2024 April 30. Between now and then, new content will be posted to the Archive to mark this milestone. This content consists of clips recorded in previous years that had been overlooked, as well as gameplay footage recorded recently when, missing my adventures on Atropos, I picked up a PlayStation 5 controller once again and set out as Selene in search of some sort of salvation. Thereafter, on April 30 itself and weekly through June 4, all-new, full-biome runs will be shared to celebrate this gem of a game.
Despite this being a small tile populated by only a handful of hostiles, there's a lot of variety on display in this clip: there's the green glow of a Proteron that warrants immediate attention; the exchange of fire that occurs when there are two Mycomorph present and sufficient Icarian Grapnel holds to grant the player mobility; and weapon fire, alt-fire, melee attacks, and items employed to achieve victory. I am particularly fond of the events from 0:25 onward.
