Amen! I am 46 and still waiting for my husband. Yes I try my best not to dwell on marriage. I want to live my life for God. I want him to be pleased with my life. I do believe that God has a husband for me but he will come in his timing.

Happy Thanksgiving! I love the message about putting differences aside and enjoying your family during the holidays. Looking back, I always end up having a good time with everyone in the end. You never know who really needed those moments of laughs, fun, and love.

To practice sin means living a LIFESTYLE of sin. As Heather was stating, yes, all of us sin. Paul said we ALL sin and fall short of the glory of God. What John is saying is IF you are indeed a child of God, you will not and cannot live a sinful LIFESTYLE. The atoning work on the cross freed us from the penalty of sin (eternal separation from Christ) and the power of sin (sin mastering us). We will not be free from the presence of sin until we get to heaven. Christ’s atoning work satisfied the wrath of God; It did not give us the right to live a lifestyle of sin or ignore God’s commands in his word.

Lol, it reminded me of Ruth and Boaz when she presented herself to Boaz, He knew what she was doing. But at the same time when a man gets down on his knee it reminds me of when... Jesus washed the feet of His disciples, "His bride" Lol, nothing like a man getting on his knee. It's beautiful But I have experienced both. I never got on my knee but I presented myself to a man that I was available for marriage. No shade. 😅😊He said maybe, And for the proposal to me I said no.

I understand where you both are coming from. I truly believe that striking a healthy balance between both views is important. But I’ll like to add that even though compassion and love are important, it must not equate to being ashamed or detesting the life of purity and holiness that Christ has called us to at the cost of sacrificing His life. Believing in Christ is not the end of the journey, it is the beginning of a journey to forsake our old ways to follow and embrace His life. He has called us to love all but we must not neglect loving and being compassionate towards His body while trying to love the lost. We cannot say that we love Christ and hate His body. While we are in this broken world and in our imperfect flesh, we will sometimes fail and fall in our love walk, the church is continuously walking towards perfection. So we can have compassion towards the lost, to the end that they come to the light and still be compassionate towards the body of Christ and her strivings to gain perfection.

But what if God told those women to stop off on the communication with him there's so many testimonies of women saying that God called them to just stop talking stop praying stop doing anything for the man and just outright leave. Maybe God told all those women to do so. That's something we also have to address is why is there more men in the church than women and why isn't marriage and Purity culture being pushed on the men just as much as the church pushes it on the women
