I've just purchased one of these for taking away to log cabins and have to say it's great for it's size. I don't need it round the house as I have two stacked hifi systems for that, but will be great in the garage and taking away. I did toy with the idea of two for stereo but for what I need it for mono will do.

While not apples to apples, I went with the soundcore x600, because of the handle and spatial sound. I think why you can get away with older speakers is because there are just physical laws you can't get away from, like more bass requires more mass.

I am in South Africa and need a replacement battery for my charge 5 and am told I can't get them anymore. Any suggestions? I love my charge 5.

It could be another year (I'm guessing) at least until we see a Charge 6, and even then, I can't imagine it will reinvent the wheel. No shame in snagging a Charge 5 right now!

Dude, most definitely you're not wrong charge 5 all the way It's still my number one overall The boom two however this year has literally climbed right behind terms of being my favorite!!!, Mine has fallin a couple times and the logo is the only thing that's barely even scratched like seriously fell and rolled several feet off of a forklift and was A ok!

Yeah man, the Boom 2 is a great speaker as well. Excellent EQ options, and the light show is sweet!

Nice video. I just purchased 2 Charge 5's at PC Richards for $140 each and I am incredibly impressed with the sound quality which for me is all I really care about. However I am having trouble getting the 2 speakers to play at the same time (Yes- they are both bluetooth connected). I fool around with the buttons and after about 5-10 minutes I get them both to play at the same time but I don't know what I did to make it happen. Any suggestions?

Are you using the JBL Portable app to pair the two speakers? It's definitely the easiest way.

I think the price an use Case of It it's to exspesive fore wat is is in my opinion it's mens fore portability I have 2 charge5 in stereo and it sounds amazing not hd or hifi and stil amazing lol have Sony WI-C100 - Wireless earbuds that have hd. Sound that sound Amazing you hear More of the Music but stil find the JBL charge 5 assume withe out the hd or hifi sound

Sound Guys channel that talks about... sound! Imagine that! Then imagine they OVERCOMPRESS their audio so much you can hear it clamping down. Sound channel with awful sound... imagine that... :-(

JBL Charge 5 is only good as a powerbank. JBL Boombox 3 is the best JBL so far. JBL Boombox 3 Wifi has Self tuning AI and the AI sometimes makes the audio hollow. Bad sound quality!!!! Whoever made Self tuning AI, they don't know what they are doing. JBL Partybox 310 has louder bass at 55% volume, than JBL Partybox Stage 320. Who cares about swappable batteries, if the sound is inferior??? JBL Partybox Stage 320 is a nerf!!!! Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 has sometimes weak bass, even with bass EQ at maximum!!! Self tuning AI is the reason. Hollow audio and weak bass sometimes. If JBL Boombox 4 has weak bass and hollow audio, I am done with JBL. I won't buy a Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 9. I am done with Harman Kardon speakers. I will buy a Diamondboxx XL4, when it comes!!!! Hopefully Diamondboxx XL4 is at least IPX 4.

No it's not it to big fore that I have 2 charge 5 in stereo and it sounds is party not hd or hifi but it gave the party sound if you wat that kinda sound fore that price you won't find

@@pguijt I have 2 of them too, but I use them as powerbanks only. My JBL Boombox 3 is way superior!!!!
