I've just watched this whole series in one go. I was glued. You're an inspiration, man! If you ever do come to Africa, drive through Kenya and leave us some knowledge.

What's he fuel usage like on the motor ?
@turf637 күн бұрын
Endak. Absolutely love the build. I’m planning to source an rrc two door after I finish up the bulkhead work I have going on on my 88” 64 iia. I saw the sound deadening material in the front wheel wells and on the inner rear quarter before the skin went on. Is it possible this stuff becomes a moisture trap long term? I suppose it went over fully painted and prepped surfaces so maybe it’s not an issue? Just curious about your thought process on the balance of quiet and solid vs potential future rust mitigation. Love your work man.
@endakhudson6 күн бұрын
Thanks mate! Prevent the water coming into the vehicle in the first place and you wont have an issue. main reason front wells rot is largely because leaking AC Evaporator drain hose, door seals or leaking windshield seal. if you routinely check all that, there shouldn't be any rust forming. Ofcourse if a car is stripped, treated and painted then the process will be further hindered.

Could be the Big Tyres /Off Set Rims that screwed the Diff ! On the Trans American Expedition Darien Gap Crossing waay back in 72- 2 RR's had Diff Issusues due to Swamp Tires fitted. Though it looks Well with those fitted !! Ashcroft Transmissions might have a H/D Diff conversion

Back in the late eighties, there was a certain dealer in WA, who used to rip out the original motors and store them in a special storage area and then fit them with Donovan 350s, it was an awesome time of excess and the players were having fun. The dealer must have done this for ten to fifteen customers.

I drove a RRC with an LS swap and honestly… time it felt like the RR lost its soul. Maybe it makes sense in a Toyota, but not in a RRC
@TheTripleDubya10 күн бұрын
Standard they were serene and a bit of fun but with an LS they were far better, the diehard purists used to get “Vitesse” motors but the guys that wanted maximum bang for their buck went for the LS, it was all good.
@endakhudson10 күн бұрын
As i always say, if you're a purist at heart LS isnt for you. but if you want something bulletproof that can cope with some punishment and some, They're a fantastic alternative.
@MisterJDee10 күн бұрын
@@endakhudson oh, yeah, no no, I’m not a purist at all. I love LS engines generally, which is why I was curious. I was surprised that I didn’t quite enjoy the combination of RR and LS as much as I thought I would. But you are correct… for cheap, reliable power, the LS cannot be beat

E/H. "It's Alive" like the Frankenstein ! ! Watching the Dakar 2025 Ultimate T1 class cars with outputs of say 340Hp, and this Rangie has double is insane. If you can't doubt him, crown him ? ? V.
