John Campbell is such a beast. Excellent cover as always.

Some of the stuff he plays definitely wasn't designed to be played on a bass, but he seems to easily keep up with the guitars! And thank you 🤘

@@ShadowMantraSteve Back when I was a beginner, his basslines definitely ruined all of my confidence on more than one occasion. And of course. You are one of the best cover channels on KZbin! 🤘

I was looking for a way to explain this to a student in English. This video helped me a lot! Thank you! And to return you the favour I would like to suggest you to check out a great podcast called " What now" by Trevor Noah. Best wishes!

How do you count out that intro riff. An what is the time Signature?
@ShadowMantraSteve
@ShadowMantraSteve 3 күн бұрын
The intro is all in 4/4. Possibly the easiest place to count in the intro is when it goes to 8 7 8 7... as the first part of the riff is always the same So the first time it plays 8 7 8 7 for 6 beats, the second for 10 beats, then 6 beats, then a variation that goes to 8 5 for 6 beats Then 6 beats, 10 beats, 6 beats, and finally 14 beats On the tab one set of 8 7 8 7 would count as one beat

I've been on this riff for 3 days and no wonder i couldnt get it. I tried angling my guitar with the head tilting upwards and i suddenly could hit the lick. Then i remember this method Geeze. thanks man Laying the pick flat tends to really bite the strings and can never be fast enough for a good flow of sounds

How do you hold your pick when tremmelo picking the octaves? parallel to the strings or still angled?
@SamBrockmann
@SamBrockmann 16 күн бұрын
One thing tapping novices may not realize about these exercises is, by putting them all on the D string, Steve is forcing clean playing. If you are sloppy with either hand, the A or the G (or both) strings will ring out. Obviously, the Satriani 4 finger tapping is a bit different, in that it is on more than 1 string, but the concept of playing cleanly applies even more there.

iirc Bobby Prince was given tapes & CDs of heavy / thrash metal that the id Software guys listened to. So some of the MIDI songs are very similar if not identical (*cough* Pantera *cough*) , others are a mishmash.
