Joe's playing is so, idk what the word is but I know when a Gojira song is playing before I even hear Joe's vocals. And of course Mario's drumming. It's worth seeing if moving your picking hand slightly up or down the string helps. Sometimes moving slightly to the left or right will get it to ring out better.

@@ShadowMantraSteve Amazing that you took the time to help out, my man. Thanks you! The theory is there, I just struggle really bad with a consistent high pitch on the bottom D. I just started playing in drop C so my bottom string went from a 0.48 to a 0.54(!) With enough drive, I get a decent one every 3rd time but I need more hours under the fingers to get consistent I think. Thanks again for your reply, keep rocking brother- you have great tone in those fingertips!

Recently remade To Sirius and Grind on Songsterr. TS suffered from x2 tempo from your cover Grind was wholeheartedly awful and now just needs fine tuning. WDD is generally ok but needs fine tuning especially in the calm part. Thanks for reminding.

That's right, you mute the middle string by lightly touching it with the underside of your index finger. You could also mute it with the tip of the ring finger too.
