Played this game as a kid; it was trash then and it's still trash now.

I like how they have a girl playing the game. Good to see Nintendo of Japan wasn't sexist like Nintendo of America was with their Ocarina of Time commercial.

Cuenta la leyenda que las versiones japonesas de juegos(como crash bandicoot y donkey kong country) eran mas faciles por el simple hecho que los japoneses terminaron traumados con lost levels

The look of the light gun, holster and all, kinda harkens back to the original Wild Gunman arcade machine which used twin 8mm projectors. I believe the creators of the game got the idea from a scene in The Great Train Robbery.

It kills me that they made one of the ROB commericals based on a concept where the person playing is being watched by a law enforcement agency that forbids fun in any form.

In Mendel Palace, the main character the player controls is a man named Bon-Bon who is trying to save Princess Candy who is held captive in her own "Nightmare / Dream world" (kind of a Nightmare on Elmstreet" type thing going on here). This commercial features Princess Candy's perspective and all the nightmare creatures trying to get her.

It's funny how they got the concept so backwards to make it appealing to americans: instead of a cutesy set of dollhouses inhabitated by a colorful set of characters such as swimmers, sumo wrestlers and chalk artists, they got this 80s He-Man esque fantasy world where a princess is trapped in a palace filled with monsters such as ogres
