Hi there. Your art is the best I've seen so far. It's been 3 years by now. I don't know if I get any answer for my question ... But I'd like to know if there is another product to use instead of the power wash. I'm in Brazil and I want to try it. I really like it. The waves I'm still having a hard time.
@MoonkusserArt5 күн бұрын
The Dawn Powerwash is great because it sprays a foamy soap that works well in this application right out of the bottle. You can try other soapy products to see what would also work to get the results seen here. Waves and lacing take time to get the technique of the process. Keep trying, you will get there!

@MoonkusserArt hi there. Thank you for your answer. I had an idea I'll try It. It's a carnaval foamy people use here in Brazil. It does the same apparentely. After I'll let you know If It worked.

Was the Casting Craft on the one Alcohol Ink, and the other Mica powder?
@MoonkusserArt17 күн бұрын
The Casting Craft white was poured into the first layer for the flower pattern in clear resin. The mica powder was the blues that were the second layer. The alcohol ink Copic markers were used after the coasters were removed from the molds.

What king of paint do yu use to mix with resin?
@MoonkusserArtАй бұрын
I have used many different kinds such as acrylic, oil, enamel, spray paint, air brush paints, etc. Water based paint like acrylic will speed up the thermal reaction taking place in the mixture of resin parts 1 (resin) and 2 (hardener) causing it to heat up in the container and harden before you have time to pour it on your project. The general rule of adding color into your resin mix is less than 10% of the volume you are adding it into. Hope that makes sense 😁

It would seem as though a layer of gesso, followed by a layer of white acrylic paint would be easier than having to go outside to spray paint. At least weather wouldn’t have to be a factor.
@MoonkusserArt2 ай бұрын
I like spray paint because it dries smoother and adhere well.

Yes. A canvas is a flat surface of cloth stapled to a wood frame.
