Gorgeous! You are so brave doing such a large canvas. But you are an inspiration to me. I’ve been watching your work for a while now and trying small experiments on my own. Maybe I will eventually get to a large canvas myself. Thank you so much for sharing!

Wow!! So neat. I had been wondering if it was possible to do this on a large canvas. I had already thought about using wood for the backing. So it’s really neat to see you doing it this way. Thanks for sharing!!

Have you ever done an acrylic fluid paint pour and tilt on a 36x48?
@MoonkusserArt2 жыл бұрын
Sure did 👍🏻 Did not like the result because the details got lost on a big canvas

Very inspiring Wow!🤩😍 I work with 48” X 60”. And I’m trying to find better ways to prep the back side because of the widest. So it has some challenges. It’s like a huge X on the back.
@MoonkusserArt3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Maynold. Having a canvas with a X support would definitely be a challenge. 🤔

Looks wonderful! Do you keep the wood in the back or can you take it out after the resin has dryed? 😊
@MoonkusserArt Жыл бұрын
Thanks Olivia. I remove the wood panels after 48 hours. The resin is a thicker type so it is very rigid when cured. 👍

that painting is gourgeous!!! Is it easy to hang on wall because of it´s weight?
@MoonkusserArt2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much ❤️ It hangs easily. There are some wonderful wall hangers that make it simple and strong.

Wow!! 😍 Such beautiful layers, and cells!!! Large canvas is definitely no easy task! Question for you… I’ve always been told to sand between layers…? And that way the epoxy has some tooth To grip to.. But you don’t do that and it turned out beautifully!! Do you ever sand before re coating? Thank you! Love love love your videos!
@MoonkusserArt3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Rosie. 💕 If I am pouring another layer within 48 hours of the last one I do not feel the need to sand. Technically the resin is not fully cured so is able to accept the next layer and fuse together. I do sand after more than 48 hours to ensure the new layer has a scuffed surface to bond to. 👍🏻
@rosebutchek3 жыл бұрын
@@MoonkusserArt Ahhhhh! Makes sense! Thank you so much for your reply! Can’t wait to NOT have to sand my next project! 😂🙏🏻❤️

What's the advantage of using canvas rather than framing out a piece of wood?
@MoonkusserArt2 жыл бұрын
Price. I use the gallery canvas from Michaels which is heavy weight but much more affordable than a panel and no worry the wood might warp.

Have you noticed yellowing after time in your paintings?
@MoonkusserArt3 жыл бұрын
I have only had one begin yellowing. I own it and have it hanging in my kitchen where it is exposed to afternoon sunlight & reflection. The background is white so the yellowing is noticeable to me but others think it is the color of the background as the yellow tint does not make the work look badly.
