Yes that's it. Improve the fundamentals i.e first touch , first touch passing , two touch passing , shooting and stuff while simultaneously trying to get fit. Good luck brother

Keep it up man! You are doing a good job. My advice for the first touch is try to wait for the ball ,let it come to you instead of trying to reach the ball, obviously you need time and practice to raise your sensivity on your feet. I have the same problem with basketball, i'm right handed so when i go to the left hand it feels like its dead lol and the ball bounces out of mu control. Also cardio its key to play, agility helps a lot. sorry for my english

I am very happy to see that you keep on practicing futbol. I have always thought that practicing a sport allow you to enjoy watching the games a lot more, because now that you practice it you realize how difficult is to play it. You can also apreciate a lot more what players do on the field. Keep on practicing . I am cheering for you. Greetings from Argentina

Nice work! I would recommend thinking about pointing the toes of your standing foot in the direction you want the ball to go for basic passing. Keep it up man, love from the UK

Your doing great. Maybe try controlling it after it bounced off the wall, instead of kicking it. For example you could try to pass 2 cones with the ball in your feet

Nice, I very minor tip would be to just remember to do half the sprint sessions going in the opposite direction. It's so your training to pass and receive on both sides of the pitch, you don't want to get stuck as just a left or right winger.

My opinion, you have to improve the coordination/balance between your arms and your body. It makes more fluid for your foot control. And try that every touch you make with the ball, have a sense, not just kick for kick, never!!! Its a bad habit, you have to try make it all touches with the right part of your foot and trying to make a changing direction. Sorry for my english. Salute from Spain👍

It's so interesting to see someone learning football. As a brazilian myself, we pretty much do it since very young, so i never really had much actual practice on it, other than real training. I'm glad you're enjoying the training, and more than anything, is assisting you getting healthier. As a suggestion for your training, try to make a "goal" on your shoot. Just put 2 random things on the floor, so you know you gotta aim between them.

Im here since you opened this channel and I can say you get better and better. Amazing progress in your fitness and mobility! Keep it up! About the touch - Run with the ball. Try to keep it infront of you. Dont run like sprints, small, steady run and no more than 4 steps from touch to touch. Later will do it in less steps. Would improve your ball handling and touch.

With your passing off the wall and running on to receive the ball, I would recommend also trying that while already moving with the ball. In a game scenario, it's much more likely you'll be moving with the ball making your passes, instead of being stationary. If you find it difficult, you can also start closer to the wall and gradually get further away as you improve.

I love the new training method! The MOST IMPORTANT thing is to not just use your right foot. If you can, do 10 sprints the way you were the turn around and run the other way. Passing and finishing with your left!
@anguspaterson57132 ай бұрын
The scenario thing you did is great, you’re essentially doing a quick ‘give and go’. Nice I’d really recommend with your first touch practice doing this: when you kick it against the wall it comes back to you (or your friend who’s helping you train gives you a pass) use your first touch to take you in a set direction. Over four reps, have your first touch take you forward towards the passer/wall, then next time first touch takes you to the left, then to the right. Add in a second pass into one of those small goals for you to pass into with your second touch. Then you’re nailing two touch football 😊

I’ve seen a multiple American get introduce to football and then they start to play it irl, the most common issue that most of them face is their kicking technique. Someone once gave the best describe, and he said that the way the kick the ball is like a golf stick swinging.
@davidfuters71522 ай бұрын
It may be too late for this due to your age ( not your size ) but try to repeat what you do with your left foot what you do with you right straight away Also use the mantra practice makes permanent ( not as most people say perfect) , the reason is bad practice just makes bad muscle memory
@GaminGilmore2 ай бұрын
I couldn’t agree more with you practicing the first touch. It’s personally been what I have been working on recently as well. The best advice I ever got for taking a first touch was from my Dad. That advice is to let the ball come into you, don’t reach out for it. If you reach for the ball, it will just bounce away. But if you accept the ball into you, it will stick close. Practically what that means is to let the ball come deeper past your standing foot, and to cushion it like you are a human pillow.
@thetruth46542 ай бұрын
That is honestly great advice
@pfang322 ай бұрын
@thetruth4654 yep, I also mentioned having lively.toe tapping feet awaiting the ball so you aren't reaching, and not leaning back, allowing him to slide into touch position and having awake feet to cushion the ball. His feet are way to static. Wake them feet up as we used to tell the youth teams when teaching

Can already see your much more mobile. Your quite explosive for someone your size so that wll get even better as you loose weight. One tip for recieving the ball it to recieve it with your left foot and set it up for your right foot pass, once you learn it you will realize its actualy easier to do then stoping and passing with the same foot. Its also quicker. Heres a ivdeo doing it /watch?v=Z2Es_o-Rmh8 2. Directional pass.

You have no idea how much im really rooting for you to get better and healthier Also when it comes to making your first touch better, actually training your dribbling with the ball at your feet can indirectly improve your first touch, since it makes you have a better feel of the momentum of ball and the direction of it corresponding with your feet placement,and how much power you should put at each touch. For that i recommended using any type of obstacle as cones and making dribbling lanes that you move through without getting off track or loosing the ball. Keep repeating this and make the dribbling lanes longer and more tricky the more you get good at it. This helped me improve my control in general and my speed with the ball wich is really helpful if you're trying to get past someone in a 1V1 situation. Remember you're still early at this so it will take time so mastering the fundemantals is what should be your focus as of now Hoping the best for you through this journey

Luke you always inspire me to go out and work on my own game. I do suggest working on learning how to juggle. While its not necessary to play you will notice your touch improving dramatically when you play. Also work on dribbling too instead of just kicking it off the wall and chasing it. Also the last piece of advice I would give is to keep a ball at your feet at all times while youre at home. The more touches youre getting on the ball, the better, especially as youre picking up the game relatively late in life when those mind muscle connections are formed slower so everything counts! Keep up working hard you will be playing in leagues before you know it!

Another thing to train touch is having a small box that when u touch it the ball needs to stop in that box, start with a larger box and work it down in size

With the scenarios you can mix both of your sessions - you might try starting with few touches going slow then do the wall pass catch up to the pass two touches straight to control the ball and another wall pass. Just run slowly around the gym wall passing it to the wall and keeping the ball under control. You will naturally make sprints with the not so great passes or you can also recieve the wall pass and try to turn back around or used the 90° angled wall to create different scenarios to get used to changing directions or use shoes are cones or obstacles to make a dribble move around and then pass. The goal of the exercise would be to run with slower but steady pace around the gym whil using the wall as your buddy (very common training practice in youth team to run across the field in twos and pass the ball to each other.)

Hi mate, played football up until semi pro level until I was like 16 and stopped, then I dived back into it in my 20’s and I experienced unbearable shin splints, I could not jog or do anything without agony for a good 5/6 years, it turns out shin splints are often because of your tense foot arch/calf muscle so if you really (and I mean REALLY) stretch your ankles, calves and hamstrings out beforehand it makes you feel so much better - my physio suggested this and I haven’t had shin splints since, regularly stretch your calves (I’ve since tore my ACL but that’s irrelevant🥲😂 definitely safe ways to improve x

Keep it up! For soccer, I would highly recommend getting a pair of soccer shoes with either an indoor sole or a turf sole depending on whether you play indoors like in the video or on turf/dry grass/concrete. Running shoes are way higher off the ground are designed for high impact, linear movement and cushioning, not quick cuts and multi directional turns.

Don't kill your body bro! You want a good one to have left when you're 100 pounds lighter. At your size you could definitely lose weight just being super diciplined with your diet. Maybe take up something low impact like swimming to stay moving. I know you'll figure something out and we'll see you on the pitch next summer!

Could you try and reduce your upper body weight... That way you will have better body balance... And lesser strain to your legs because your legs look a bit lean to be carrying your upper body weight... And also do some weight work to help substitute it...
