Hi Luke great job on deciding you want to change your life. Ive been playing soccer since I was 4 years old and I'm glad you fell in love with the sport as I have. I think you should look into some soccer drills on youtube that would more efficiently train your footwork and degree of comfort on the ball. There are plenty of youtube coaches that have videos on simple drills you can try. I would suggest starting out on wall passes, just practicing passing the ball to the wall with proper technique (inside of the foot) then it will be easy to expand your skill from there. I think of myself as a pretty skilled player and would be happy to help you any time.

If I have any advice for you sir I would say stop doing sit-ups for now as to much stress is being placed on your lower back, look for core stability exercises and learn how to do upper and lower abdominal crunches properly. Further down your fitness journey you would then be in a position to start sit-ups with a much lower risk of injuring yourself.

Never forget its all about consistency. You dont have to train every day or completely ban unhealty meals. Its enough to find a healthy lifestyle that you can keep without falling back. You will do it G!

I started gym a month ago after 20 years of smoking weed nd being a couch potato. Morning: coffee, protein meal replacement shake Lunch: ham sandwich. 73cal choc bare/apple Dinner: stir fry w chicken strips/ steak, 1/2 potato,veg/ fajitas. 73cal choc bar/apple for desert Exercises: 1hr gym session 4/5 times/ week 1 - 2 hour 20 walk with 20kg weights in rucksack 4/5 times a week. First 2 weeks nothing but lost 5kg per week last two weeks
