this games (Overture and Black Plague) did something with me, very few games/books/movies manage to do. they injected a special form of awe and wonder into my intellectual veins. and the music man. the sounddesign overall is phenomenal, but the music has magic to it as well. after i finished it, i didnt want it to end, so i consumed everything on the internet about it and your essay is one of the best by far. very well done mate. funny, i never could get warm with the amnesia series but played Some one day out of boredom, and it also blew me fucking away with its rich and complex philosophical questions, it invoked in me. Soma is highly philosophical, while it never tries to be. one can say, it is the extreme opposite of Nier Automata, which screams in you face every 4 minutes, how it thinks how philosophical it is, yet never really is. I think that frictional games has some of the most brillant storytelling and atmosphere geniuses in the industry, cant wait for their next game to play it. by the way, i gave amnesia another try and finally managed to love it, i dont know why i needed so long to accept it. haha. but soma opened the door and penubra tugged me in and beat the shit out of me XD

Wish more Indie games stuck to the slow simmer of environmental horror instead of making scripted jump scares their main source of unease. Feels like even modern Frictional games started making games with drawn out game over animations to give the streamers something to react to

While watching this video there is popping up a question in my mind. Simon is not human. He doesen't need any nutriment except from electricity power. Couldn't he swim to the surface (I mean, he's a diving suit...) and maybe others like him that the WAU will create and then they could repopulate the earth? It's not as paradisiac looking like in the ark... but it is more real (?).

Dude, i know its been a long while since you've uploaded and may have stepped away from the platform for any of a number of reasons. Just wanted to reach out as a random soul who you'll never meet that i see you as the rawest talent I've ever come across on the platform. Your work on Soma is something I come back to at least once. A year. Thank you so much for your incredible work and for leaving the vids up. You're one of the best, and i truly do wish you the most wonderful, fulfilling life. Tell your stories. They deserve to be told, in whatever medium you choose

The real horror is the fact that SSDs aboard the satellite (or whatever they use for storage 100 years in the future) will slowly degrade, corrupting the data, leaving less and less storage space for digital paradise and its inhabitants. At some point they'll have to erase each other to make space for the simulation. And eventually it will go dark...

14:30 so to me this proves that the outsider dosnt only favour high chaos, Daud loses the interest of the outsider when he settled into the life of been a heartless killer, it’s only when Daud starts to feel guilty over his actions when Daud has a choice to make that the outsider becomes interested again, yes he never took the mark away but after Daud played his part and cut off his morals that’s when the outsider got board. He dosnt favour one way or the other it’s the choice that interests him, seeing what you do now and pointing out the other path you could have taken.

I would think chaos is our world and that of dishonored. We live in a universe of a tiny conflux of billions of years where all the matter comes together to create some more than themselves in an near infinite ways. Compared to full entropy but stability, order, homogeneity and serenity of the endless timeless void, where nothing can be created as there is not enough energy. You see it in the attitude of the Outsider and how the void looks to us. Entropy on the cosmoligical scale is difficult and contradictory. It in itself is chaotic in nature in the normal sense we use daily, so you're correct. Like water in gas form, compared to the solid and stable like iron. It can mix and churn with other gasses easily, which is conflux. Full entropy however is static. Nothing has enough energy or is close enough to mix and churn to begin with. The void probably knows everything that's going to happen and is more deterministic than we like to think, but not wholly so either or it wouldn't bother. The void reflects an eternalist view of time and all possible timelines and outcomes, if the universe is not completely deterministic. But the details of how and why is lost on the Outsider and the void. He wants to see the small ripples in the ocean when he throws a rock in it, to see if it turn into a tsunami or hurricane. The overall current of the ocean he knows and what it leads to. Right until the end of the universe where there is nothing where time can be relative to. No doubt a very boring thing to experience. I would say eternity but that ceases to have all meaning. Until perhaps the next conflux comes into being to be relative to.

The hope of the species? Not really. They may be fully conscience, but to me - putting all philosophical pretenses aside - the brain scans on the ARK aren’t human or alive, they’re just ones and zeroes arranged to perfectly simulate the memories and emotions of people long dead. The ARK is a pipe dream full of ghosts; lies living a lie.
@carebearsboy13908 ай бұрын
Yeah and they said the solar power for the ARK will only last for 2,000 years or so. What are the chances of ET coming and giving humanity their bodies and lives back? You got a point! 💯%

I found you by searching for Dishonored lore, but I also played Outer Wilds and so I clicked this. Most youtubers are great at non-stop talking while saying nothing at all. You, on the other hand, don't waste words and you dare to take pauses to let the viewer think for a bit. This video nearly brought a tear to my eye. It seems you have stopped producing content, but you have a subscriber nonetheless. I hope life is going well for you and that you are living it fully, as just as you said in the video, it doesn't last forever. Ever onward.

This video series is an absolute masterpiece. I played this game for the first time in 2023. It freaked me out so much that I put it down half way through. I then discovered this video and the explanation of the lore just won me over. I continued playing, then also watched this series to the end. This playlist really should get millions of views for how well it is done! Even people who have never or will never play this game would appreciate this, I think. Well done, @Gameological Dig!
