Deacon Marc is a ordained deacon in the Archdiocese of Denver. In the Archdiocese of Denver, deacons are required to wear a Roman Collar as well as a Deacon Cross when serving in ministry. The wearing of "clerics" by deacons differs from diocese to diocese. Permanent Deacons can be married when they are ordained.

Sea burial for cremated remains is allowed by Catholic Church. The urn is to be immersed into the sea, not scattering the ashes.

Yes! There are additional rules that need to be followed when having a burial at sea, while we are more land locked here in Colorado, we did talk about a few of those pieces during the second part of this video where we tackled two other less common methods of disposition: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqGZYoaqgquAhZY

This is so important. People take so much stress off themselves by having an plan. Everyone should have a good funeral home that they are comfortable with. The Funeral Director, our family has dealt with knows EXACTLY what to do for our family. He knows us. He reminded us to add to the obituary that our loved one was a dedicated Knight of Columbus (instrumental in building a handicap ramp). He knows the music we want in church (Ave Maria, Irish Blessing), the cemetery, wake, of course, for our big family to fly in. Early funeral, because the cemetery is an hour away. He has also trusts us and has got us the best financial value for our budgets. Nice video!

Thank you for your interest in our video. “In circumstances when cremation is chosen because of sanitary, economic or social considerations, this choice must never violate the explicitly-stated or the reasonably inferable wishes of the deceased faithful. The Church raises no doctrinal objections to this practice, since cremation of the deceased’s body does not affect his or her soul, nor does it prevent God, in his omnipotence, from raising up the deceased body to new life. Thus cremation, in and of itself, objectively negates neither the Christian doctrine of the soul’s immortality nor that of the resurrection of the body. The Church continues to prefer the practice of burying the bodies of the deceased, because this shows a greater esteem towards the deceased. Nevertheless, cremation is not prohibited, “unless it was chosen for reasons contrary to Christian doctrine.” (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Instruction “Ad resurgendum cum Christo,” October 25, 2016.)

The catholic church was always against cremation. They were under pressure and caved in in the 1960s. It was freemasonry behind the pushing of cremation.within the church. Cremation is from the Hindu religion. It is the most unnatural thing to burn a body after death. Christ's body was not cremated.

It would be good if it was done like Hindus do it. Their peiest it there present when the body goes into the cremator. They have a last rites after death which is done then. Otherwise it's sort of base because its just secular guys in black clothes pushing a coffin with the body in it into the cremator. No need for a coffin in my opinion, and no religious respect for the deceased is given by the dudes in black. Lets see if wecan improve that at least for us.

As a ministry of the Catholic Church, we respect, honor, and adhere to the teachings of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Cremation was only approved in 1960 by the Catholic Church and I believe it will be rescinded soon.

What about the Saints who were burned alive! Their souls reside with God but their mortal bodies were certainly never buried just to mold away and return to ash!

Given time, the outcome of the body is identical whether the deceased is either cremated or buried.

"O Suffering Jesus, O Sorrowful Mary, We give you glory, thanks, and praise; O bless our works and guide our ways. - Amen." Sisters of Loretto archivist, Sister Eleanor Craig, explains, “Loretto’s devotion from 1812 forward has been to the Mother of Jesus in her sorrow over her son Jesus suffering. Today we might say our concerns focus on all women who sorrow over the sufferings of their children. The images of the Sorrowful Mother and Suffering Jesus have traditionally been displayed in every Loretto convent and school. The universal prayer of Loretto students and Sisters has been ‘O Suffering Jesus, O Sorrowful Mary, We give you glory, thanks, and praise; O bless our works and guide our ways.'"
