Would love an update, I’ve just seen the whole series only to find this abrupt stop in content, genuinely hope everything is ok

You can make your own grommets using vacuum hose. Cut to fit and split it down the middle of the hose. Then fit to hole where you need it.

I came across this build and started watching it. Been very good all in all but the one thing I noticed and I don't now if anyone mentioned it to you but some of those hard to reach places, I think rivet nuts (riv-nuts) would be Ideal. Then you wouldn't have to fiddle with having enough access space in the rear of some of the areas like shown in this video with the over flow bottle/tank mounting.

One question about those coolant pipes, i dont see a thicker piece on both sides of the pipes, but i see some sort of nothes at the end. Are they too prevent the hose from blowing off, or is it a special system? Would like too know for my own scrap build gt40 project. Thanks for your reaction in advance

I prefer the term "Assembled", because "Built" means you designed the suspension and chassis, welding it yourself. For example, Google "Midlana."

Looks to me Dan Started KZbin 3 years ago put a lot of effort and time, didn't pay off the algorithm F-him up by not pushing his videos to the right audience and Dan quited all together, I hope he finished his build tho and now enjoys his car 😅 Bye Dan

I just got wind of your project. You do a great job presenting your work and information! I can not believe that the company has such terrible quality control such as them making you have to grind off the steering shaft and all the extra fitting you have to do. Thank you for sharing this to the world!

I use to crate those engines and with those engine hooks if u have them reversed the engine has a tendency to not be straight. I had to power though. Never ever made that mastake again.

Seeing how the crossover between the tanks is set up makes we wonder if I could make something similar work on one of my square body Chevy trucks, mainly my 85 C30 dually. If I ever get the truck on the road I know it's going to like gas since it's got a 454 big block that's being fed by a 4 barrel carb, and sending that power to the ground through a 3 speed non overdrive transmission and 4.10:1 gears in the rear. Filling up these old school 73-87 Chevy/GMC trucks at the pump can be a pain sometimes since you got one tank on each side of the truck.

Unfortunately the fate of many yt projects. You follow it for so long and then it just dies off. No explanation, nothing...

Just started researching building one of these or a FFR Type 65 and ran across your video. Thanks for taking the time to do it. My biggest concern is if this is beyond my skill set. I can turn a wrench, been around cars and boats all my life, but have zero fabrication skills. There is a lot to research before I make that first big step.

I could NOT stop screaming at you for NOT using any oil whatsoever. I could tell you were wondering why the crankshaft was so hard to turn over, again some fukin oil wud av helped. Even a tiny bit of OIL would have helped hold things whilst assembling.

All very technically difficult tasks look initially doable for the enthusiastic novice. When I first began watching this series, last night, I thought he might struggle considering he works in construction. All other successful build projects on KZbin are done by qualified professionals with budgets and help. “The battle is won before it is fought!”
